"Unique location with stunning views on Robin Hoods bay. The room was spacious and very clean. The bed large and very comfortable. The staff very friendly and dinner was varied and very good quality "

"Beautifully presented property,decor and condition excellent,staff friendly and helpful. Evening meal was very good although expensive! Breakfast had to be chosen the night before and had limited options ie hot ok but no continental/cold options on list,I found the service lacking,not enough staff (2) to cope with the guests requirements. Unfortunate as it rather spoiled our stay."

"I was traveling to the area alone and had chosen to stay here. I was greeted by a very friendly lady who I later discovered was the owner. The room was very clean a pretty with everything you needed. That evening I had a drink in the bar and the owners were so friendly and welcoming offering any assistance I may need. The breakfast was delicious and while I didn’t eat a meal there the menu looked great and very varied. I would definitely stay there again if I am in the area. "

"Beds were comfortable but we were on the 4th floor (atic) so i was knackered by the time I got up there as there is no lift plus the wifi didn't work in that room (room 15). All in all, the room servered the purpose and is in a good location next to the main shops and sight seeing."

"If you are looking for an excellent B&B, the Southgate is the one. We had a warm welcome from Chris and Julie and they were friendly and helpful. The cleanliness was outstanding and everywhere was pristine. Everything you needed in the room with a comfortable bed, on-suite walk in shower and hairdryer. The deco everywhere was very tasteful and inviting. We had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend it. Would definitely stay again. George and Elizabeth"
