"The hotel is dated & needs a revamp. The first room was old, musty & tired. Water marks on the walls, very tired bathroom & poor fittings. The 2nd room was an improvement on the first although dated. Staff were friendly & amenable. Breakfast was buffet style and plentiful but lacked variety. Pool area was clean & safe, although hogging of sunbeds started early 0600! Overall was a satisfactory stay however there are better value hotels along the same stretch of road. "

"Neevana is a modern, very comfortable hotel close to the centre of Hikkaduwa. The rooms are well appointed and those at the front have the most amazing view of the sea. "More akin to a Guest House, this small hotel offers a superb location for a relaxing break with beautiful, empty, sandy beach just a few meters away. The staff were attentive and very friendly. Rooms vary but ours was air conditioned; basic but comfortable, this is not 4* accommodation but there again, you are not paying 4* rates. Free WiFi is provided but does come and go and is never high speed so don't expect to be streaming your favorite TV shows. Food is good value and we enjoyed everything...
