Then off to the Manchester stadium for a souvenir. Then we caught the train in the hotel to York. It was a perfect stay (great food in the bar too)."

"Nice big room, clean, and quick to check in. We upgraded for a small amount to a club room. This was supposed to give us a drinks token. This wasn’t offered but the room was nice so didn’t complain. Breakfast was ok- lots of it had been sat out for a while and wasn’t hot. The scrambled eggs had separated and the poached eggs, were rubbery, but there were lots of options. Great location - easy to access lovely restaurants and a show at the Lowry. "
