"Staff were so helpful,friendly and accommodating. At check in immediately felt welcome. We travelled with our large breed dog and she was embraced by all the staff. Our dog friendly room was very spacious, spotlessly clean and very well appointed. The hotel had a relaxed feel and more than met our hope for a stress free getaway.
As the weather has been exceptionally warm, we really appreciated that outdoor seating areas, well into the evening.

"Really great value for money! Really nice rooms, with air con too! Great location, close to Oxford and many of the fab pubs and farm shops of the Cotswolds. Really friendly and helpful staff. Great amenities including Dyson hairdryer, ghd straighteners and a 24 hour coffee bar / front desk - great shout! Really would recommend and would certainly stay again!"
"The room was clean, the bathroom looked tired and we had no hot water for the duration of our stay, the food was good and the staff very friendly, overall it was ok."
"The Hotel Building itself is lovely but inside the rooms are very rundown and dirty.
The walls were covered in scuff marks, the carpet was all rippled posing a trip hazard, the radiator in the bathroom was all rust and one of the coffee mugs was chipped.
The breakfast was terrible ."
"Room was clean, slightly dated for the price you pay, you’d expect more for the Hilton chain. The staff I dealt with had been friendly. Onsite parking was good with a nice price of £3 a night, just remember that if you drive all the way around the back looking for a better space, you will need to then drive out of the hotel, down the dual carriageway and back again to re-enter the car park. At the time of my stay the access to loop back around the hotel car park was blocked off."

"Had a wonderful stay at The Retreat. Really relaxed atmosphere, gorgeous facilities and comfortable room. Only slight criticism was enough sun loungers by the outdoor pool, could definitely fit some more in so that people don’t have to sit on the grass. There was no one out there to ask for help, and it felt like there was no one really in charge. Same with the restaurant, it felt understaffed and so service was a bit lacking at times. But the staff who did serve us were very friendly....
