"The check-in and check-out process was very easy and fast without a deposit. The FO gave me a room with a nice view, the sea and the pool. The room was clean, the AC was cold, the shower was very strong. but now they don't provide bar soap, shower cap, toothbrush in the bathroom but when you check in, they will ask for this and if you need it, they will give it to you. everything is ok, only the security in front of the lobby door must be alert if guests bring a lot of luggage. There is no need to ask whether they need help carrying the suitcase or not. I think it's better to just help directly without having to ask. Novotel Balikpapan, January 5, 2026"

"The pool was almost always crowded since the hotel regularly holds swimming classes for non-guests. It felt a bit inconvenient for hotel guests who just wanted to relax and enjoy the pool, as it didn ’t provide the quiet or private atmosphere you would normally expect."
