"I awoke on Monday morning to a construction side outside my room. I said I wanted a refund, but the hotel staff were most obliging. They put me in one of their largest suites with sea views and a sitting room. I changed my mind about that refund. I was quite enchanted. "

"This is the place to be if you arrive by train and no better base for the Agatha Christie Festival or anything at Torre Abbey. The walk along the waterfront is elegant and safe, even at night. The staff are wonderful and if you like good, old-fashioned service and a traditional English breakfast, you will love it. The pool, bar and lounges are spacious and comfortable and the rooms are clean. "

"The lobby, bar and restaurant have an elegant and timeless feel. I loved relaxing on the terrace with a cup of tea and a book. The room was large but my air conditioner didn’t work and the bed felt worn/old. I mentioned it to the desk and they put a mattress topper on the bed which really fixed the issue. The windows opened and in late August with the fan in the room - I was comfortable. The comfort of the rest of the hotel and the fantastic sauna, pool and hot tub made up for the bed and air...
