Medina - Chefchaouen, Morocco It is known for the blue washed walls and doorways in the old city. Narrow alleys, cobbled walkways, stairs up and down, leading in all directions. Chefchaouen's powder blue buildings mirror the cloudless Moroccan sky - but religious rather than stylistic reasons are behind the design choice. Jewish teachings suggest that by dyeing thread with tekhelel (an ancient natural dye) and weaving it into prayer shawls, people would be reminded of God's power. It was quite an adventure to get lost in the tiny lanes and alleys and discover the many berber shops and products. #FindingtheUniverse

"We stayed in Fredj hotel for 7 nights And for 5 of those nights we had NO hot water ! We could not shower. I had to pay for a hamaam outside in the local area just to get clean. I had to ask for towels too cos the cleaner would not leave any towels. Breakfast was just ok. They were slow to refill things when they were finished. I am still waiting for a refund for them 5 days as they said I could claim A refund from Expedia for not having any hot water. Also the hotel staff seemed so unbothered that we were suffering with no hot water in cold December. It was awful !!! "
