"An outstanding property; one of the best I have ever stayed at. The views are incredible, rooms are well kept and bar and restaurant are open 6a-10p. But you do need 4wd to get up the mountain on a rough road to it (faster is better) and the food is very healthy and may not be enough for everyone, but is delicious. Staff become family quickly. We'll be back."

"Outstanding, and the perfect end to a travel and tour-filled vacation. Vayu is an idyllic retreat, nestled in the jungle, surrounded by trees and the sounds of nature. We were even visited by a pair of inquisitive toucans. The rooms are huge - clean and a bed with bedding more comfortable than home. "We loved our stay at Pura Vida Ecolodge. Perfect accommodations for our two couples. Excellent pre-visit packages with lots of information about the property and the surrounding area. We hiked the "hundreds of white steps" trail and it turned out to be 614 steps-give or take-each way. Gersan and Illiana were fabulous! The road is a challenge so believe Joe when he says you need 4WD!"
