"set in beautiful countryside. very quiet, room was very comfortable with a wonderful view, and we had a shared kitchen with another room, with microwave, fridge, in which we put some cold items for the next day. hosts were wonderful, very helpful in recommending somewhere to eat that 1st night, the local pub was lovely and great food. and the breakfast that we had the following morning was exceptional, plenty of safe parking. would highly recommend"

"We stayed here due to a wedding at nearby Bruisyard. It was a lovely stay and I couldn’t fault it, a beautiful setting full of nature and a very well preserved property. Liz was very accommodating allowing us to drop our luggage and car off earlier than check in; we also came down to a very very nice breakfast with something for everyone. "

"Just perfect, We were not sure when we booked as it was just a place to stay while we visited friends, but if we are in the area we will go back the accommodation was spotlessly clean. "Shingle Cottage is lovely, it felt stylish and cosy all at the same time. It’s in a rural location, perfect for country walks and exploring the nearby towns and villages. We couldn’t have wanted for a nicer place to stay. "
