"The host Paulette and Simon were very accommodating. We arrived at 1:00am in the morning. I called them for direction to our lodging. They met us at our car with flashlights and friendly smiles. They checked in with us regularly to see if we needed anything or wanted suggestions to places to eat etc. The home was clean, quaint and historical ( build in 1700’s). "Martine is very hospitable and gave us homegrown tomatoes and homemade jam and kept the pool beautiful however the accommodation needs updating, & is not to my standard of hygiene. Something in my bed on the mezzanine made me itch. There is barely any light in the kitchen which made it difficult to cook. The only supermarket is a Super U which is about 11 miles away, nothing in the village. Positives: the pool, the hot water, the proximity to the mountains and Lourdes if you’re of a mind to visit. We left early due to the impending strike by ferry workers."
