Better Than Expected

We ended up here unexpectedly after our tire blew out heading home from Charelston. Given that it was a motel, my expectations were really low. I was actually pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness factor once inside. I'm not saying it's fancy, but definitely better than what I was expecting. The only thing I'd like to point out is that their listing says it includes breakfast and coffee, but there is no access to the lobby and neither service is offered. The misrepresentation won't be compensated by Hotels.com.

This place was rough, the guy act the lobby was nice (although hard to understand). The room had flies, everything looked sorta stained. Luckily, he didn't challenge me much on a refund snd we found another hotel.

Other room offered was not suitable for our needs and smelled funny. Manager acted as if I was troubling him when I asked questions. Ended up having to stay somewhere else.

Relaxing stay, good location. Reasonable price. Pool was open, no coffee or breakfast as listed, still using covid. Pleased with stay, 24 hr Mcdonalds 4 miles for bfk coffee!

Do NOT stay at this hotel! It was nasty, lots of creepy, homeless people wandering around, only one light bulb worked, there were no lamp shades, bed sheets had not been changed, it was the dirtiest “motel” I’ve ever booked! We asked for a full refund and the Manager did exactly that, which was nice of him, but I think he’s probably used to refunding money to his guests.

Beds were halfway made and had used sheets on them! Yuck!

Check in was very slow. Our room was average, the bathroom was old and dirty (peeling grout/seams, two small, dead cockroaches) The property is well lit which provides some sense of security since it seems like many workers and people live here longer term. Honestly my expectations were pretty low and it got the job done for our one night stay for a horse show.

The light didn't work in the bathroom, the bathtub was plugged, the refrigerator was frozen up. I turned it down and it melted over the floor, the internet connection was deemed unsafe by my software. Sometime during the night someone marred my truck.
