About this property

MOUNT VERNON RETREAT 🌸

  • Private and spacious suite with a separate entrance, in a quite, beautiful and safe neighborhood in Alexandria. It is 10 min drive to Historic Old Town Alexandria, 20 min to Washington DC, 5 min to Mt. Vernon Estate and Ford Belvoir Army Base.

    Guests are welcome to take advantage of the garden/outdoor patio space for their morning coffee or afternoon/evening glass of wine.

    Check in and check out times could be flexible upon request.


    The guest area is completely private. It includes one spacious living room, two big bedrooms and a bathroom with a walk-in shower. The first bedroom has a queen size bed and the second bedroom has 2 twin size beds. Both bedrooms have big closets.

This is the perfect spot for staying in a safe area south of DC if you’re there for sight seeing or any type of event. It’s like a hidden gem. Have stayed here twice.

This was our second stay here. It's a convenient, well-laid out apartment. It was very clean when we arrived, and the hosts were friendly, inviting my kids to look at the chickens and giving us some delish pickled carrots. We really look forward to returning a third time!

Quick Stopover

Needed a place to stay with our two young kids on our road trip south. Despite our late arrival (almost midnight) the check in process was a breeze. Everything was ready for us when we arrived (including some cold bottled water in the fridge, which was MUCH appreciated. We would definitely stay again.

Great hosts, great location

Cozy basement apartment, very clean and bright and comfortable. On a quiet street with convenient parking and still close to everything. No stove or kitchen sink but has large refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. Very responsive and friendly hosts. We really enjoyed our stay!

We were in need for a brief stay before catching an early morning flight. This was the perfect place. Close to many restaurants and tourist sites. Owners were exceptionly friendly and kind. Great communication. I cannot say enough good things about our stay!!!!!

Great Christmas stay

This worked great for us. Clean comfortable and had all the things we needed. We were just a 15’ walk from our grandkids, and that was perfect. Host were very responsive to our questions and requests. Thank you!

Had a wonderful time!

The location is close to Washington DC. Neighborhood looks very beautiful. Parking is easy to find. The pace is well maintained. Paulina and DK were easy to communicate with. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here.
