"Single traveller 9 night stay get what you pay for. Happy with what I got, not five star but that’s not what I paid for. Stayed here 3/4 times before and will probably return again. Enough said."

Listen, they are not going to be around a lot. No one at the desk when you arrive and not throughout the night. Its more a bed and breakfast. Front door is loud, you hear it when you sleep and other guests come and go.
Those are the draw backs
The staff, Anna especially is lovely.
They did their best with redoing the place and conveniently located. Is it the best experience ever? No. But clean safe and close to beach and good breakfast

Very comfortable hotel with beautiful manicured grounds. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and helpful. Breakfast buffet was superb. Only problem was a lack of local restaurants in easy walking distance, encouraging visitors to visit the resort restaurants which were mediocre and expensive.

We stayed a quick 3 days and had a blast. Everyone was super friendly and inviting, breakfast was awesome, quick walk to the beach and a number of great restaurants, plus we were super excited for one of the better small hotel gyms we've been in - if your hotel has barbells and weights over 20kg, they're doing something right :)
We'll certainly be recommending Lagos Atlantic to others and will hopefully be back in the future for more than just a few days!

The room was very clean and well equipped.
We were upgraded to a suite which was lovely.
Staff were more than helpful and did their utmost to ensure a comfortable stay.
Can't say enough good things about the entire experience.

I absolutely loved the hotel. It had historic charm and the hotel obviously took pride in cleanliness and its historical value. I had breakfast one day, and it was a nice spread.
The bar service was excellent, if you could actually find someone who works there. These was a bell on the counter I rang 3 times one day before I just gave up.
I was disappointed to find that the actual pool area is offsite, and the hotel does not offer shuttle service as it states in the add. I’m had to pay a taxi...

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at this 5-star resort! It is the type of place I look forward to returning to. Super safe and peaceful property with trustworthy employees. The staff really go out of their way to be kind and we felt each of them did an excellent job!
The hotel room had a thoughtful design with plenty of space for two. I enjoyed that the toilet was in a different room than the shower. As we were there a week, I also found the large closet system well designed. I...

We have spent a wonderful time in the sleepy and relaxing village of Salema. The Salema Beach Village is a brand new, beautifully located resort-like establishment. I don't think anyone before us stayed in the villa with the sea view we were staying in. (Sea view is worth this 30$ extra per night). They opened April 30, 2016. Villas are well designed, well equipped and give you a feeling of a little beautiful and luxiorous fishing village. Perfect place for a family holidays! Hotel beautifully...

This hotel was wonderful !! The property is gorgeous and the beach is stunning! The hotel is very well kept, super clean, and well organized.
The restaurants are great. Breakfast buffet was great options and quality and dinner options were amazing. Cocktails are the best! Properly made not just syrup.
The pools were clean and actually heated. My kids loved playing. Overall a wonderful place to stay.

Nice property. Great rooms. Beautiful view, if you get a beach/water view room. We had reserved a non-water view. Asked for upgrade at check in. Got the upgrade but had to pay more money, thought that was a perk with Expedia VIP, but wasn't. Nice bar area with good views and decent food. The upscale restaurant was good, but pricy. No restaurants next to hotels for food options. 15
Min walk or very short drive is the local village was is very tourist oriented and has lots of restaurants.

The building has a lot of charm. Plants, flowers and classic Portuguese interior design. It feels you are in a farmhouse, not in a hotel. The breakfast was great with so many options. The attic room where we stayed was so spacious, with a huge bathroom and a private terrace. I'd point out that they gave us combined twin beds and not a queen/king bad, which wasn't ideal. Also, the listing mention that they have three pools which is not true. There is only one pool available. The other images are...

this is the 5th time that we stayed at Vilalara...this says something. We come here for the fantastic Thalasso spa and its great staff (multi lingual and so friendly), the most beautiful settings, the most unique gardens, the six pools, the direct access to their wonderful beach and also the location (easy to to reach). We spent a happy sojourn of 12 days
and are ready to come back next year. Compared to ours previous experiences when Accor managed the place we had the feeling that there is...
