"Excellent hotel and accessible with lifts and ramps. There is plenty of space and room to get around. Rooms are spacious. The hotel has the historic old house called the 'palcete vista alegre' in its surroundings. Swimmimg pool was nice and warm. "

"This was an amazing stay! The property is absolutely stunning inside and out, with expansive views of the Douro Valley. Manuel is an excellent host and even made us dinner reservations at some great restaurants in town. The salt water pool was my favourite amenity. I wish we had planned to stay here for several nights and not just one. "

"Route d’accès très difficile. On nous a donné une chambre qui sentait très mauvais. Après qu’ils soient venus constater ils nous ont donné raison et nous ont changé de chambre. 2e chose, on nous a dit qu’on ne pouvait nous servir le repas du soir avant 20h30, il a fallu insister beaucoup pour souper à 19h30, avec choix de 2 mets principaux à 26 euros chacun. Décevant."

"Consider the price, very reasonably priced. The rooms are small, bathroom even smaller. 10min walk out of the main town in a slightly grubby area but very good value for the price. Plentiful breakfast. No coffee or tea in the room. No safe."

"Amazing hotel and views -the location is unbeatable, the pool and property is amazing, in fact none of the pictures proves justice, this is an amazing hotel with lots to offers…. A car is required to get to the hotel, although I didn’t partake in any of the spa it did look amazing - the pool and the drinks are amazing - the breakfast is amazing where you can sit on the terrace - the restaurant offers good food although I thought it was a bit too much and overly fancy for nothing - and the taste...
