"Wonderful hotel in a great location. The bedroom looked lovely, but the bathroom needed significant work. A little love on the tiles and this would have been 5*. Close to the castle and a short walk to local retaurants ."

"The staff is very helpful and friendly however it seems like the staff is limited or understaffed. The property is beautiful but the room we had was old. The breakfast was wonderful. I would recommend this hotel, I just wish they had a shuttle or car service for hire."

"Easy to find hotel with ample parking in a great location for work visits or for exploring the area. All staff were friendly and welcoming, the rooms are comfortable and spotless and they have everything you need. The handy bar and restaurant on-site are also excellent."

"Ideal location for visiting someone at Heriot Watt uni. Free parking and excellent bus links into city. Good, varied breakfast selection. Evening meals not so good - limited menu anyway but when we were there they had also run out of a few things. Extremely spacious room with a huge bed. Pillows too soft for me but that's just personal taste!"
