"The staff were exceptional from the moment we checked in; friendly and extremely helpful and kind. The room was very clean and comfortable. We stayed for dinner and the meal was delicious and the server exceptional. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, was well presented and cooked. The fruit on offer was also very fresh. This is one of the best hotel experiences I have enjoyed. I would highly recommend this hotel."

"Arrived at hotel to be given a room number 368 that didn’t exist, not a good start after a long journey. Booked in for dinner at hotel restaurant, service was okay but food was disappointing in terms of quantity and not prepared as described by the menu. When this was pointed out to the staff we were told that the menu was changing next week and so this shouldn’t happen again, not good. Our room was very warm, there was no heating on, but when we opened the window to let in some cooler air we realised we were close to the kitchen extract fan pumping out a greasy and unpleasant smell. Overall very disappointing as we use Hilton Double Tree hotels regularly and this particular hotel was not up to the expected standard I’m afraid."

"Nice hotel. Kind of at the very back of York so it's quite a hike to get there. You feel like you're in someone's den. It was very cozy and comfortable"

"Room was clean. Breakfast was fresh and replenished quickly. Easy to use coffee machines and could order scrambled or poached eggs. Fried eggs out. Pool was great "

"Unfortunately in our room the ventilation was not working and had a error come up if you tried to restart the air conditioning. We did not really need air conditioning for cooling that much but just flowing air would have been much nicer as the room but a bit muggy and musky because lack of air flow. Windows did open a bit we found so that did help. Room was well fitted out but some things did not work, usb ports along side bed, fan in bathroom. Not a deal breaker but could have been better for sure. Good Competitive rates though as well."
