Gorgona Hotel was a great find just a little off the beaten path. It overlooks the Paralia Rousoum Gialos beach and is just a 2 minute hike down to that beach, and it is just a 10 minute walk to Port Town. My friends stayed in Old Town and it was a 10 Euro taxi ride there. It was great that it had a fridge and a little kitchenette since there aren't a lot of breakfast places that open early. I was able to make my own coffee and heat up leftovers each morning. The water pressure was strong and the AC worked great to cool down my room at night. The wifi was a little slow as is the case on many of the Greek islands. A highlight was the staff who were very kind and friendly, always greeting you with a big smile and asking if they can help in any way.

Gorgona (Mermaid) Hotel.

We were transported to and from the hotel and treated with consideration and respect whilst there. You would be lucky to meet a more friendly Manager than Dimitris. Our visit was close to the end of the season and though we had some rain we made up for it on the sunny days and managed to check out the Island from the beaches on the East coast to the mountain road that leads to Gerakas at the Northern end. The views up there are worth the visit alone.

albergo ottimo prezzo/prestazioni
