"Definitely no complaints for the price! It's not a 5* hotel but the staff were great, we had a comfortable king size bed. It's walking distance to Tim Hortons and many shops and restaurants. Honestly I was a little hesitant to book there because of the reviews but I'm glad I did. We will definitely stay there again if we are passing through the area... Now, if you want a brand new or 5* hotel, go pay double+ somewhere else... Sad but some people I never happy and just like to complain, like what did you expect for $125 a night!!"

"This quaint little hotel was adorable! If you’re looking for something that gives a historic/museum vibe then this is the place for you! We stayed for two nights in the Tippen room. I wish that it was made known to us prior to the reservation that the room was actually in another building that required many stairs and walking outside to get to it. It was fine for us but could be an issue accessibility wise. Rooms were clean, plenty of towels, shower things and included a bottle of water in the fridge. The food at the restaurant Scozia was outstanding. Seriously one of the best steaks I’ve had. The calamari and beet salad are also delicious! We went to the pub on the second night to have the nachos and calamari and it was also good. They do include breakfast with hour stay, which you pre order the day before. The only downfall is that only one of the options include eggs (egg bite) and you can’t change your mind if you’re feeling something different the next day. The egg bite option is probably also the biggest portion whereas the rest are a bit of a lighter breakfast option. Lastly, the people who work at this hotel are absolutely amazing. Everyone was very polite, welcoming and had great customer service. If you’re looking to explore Fergus or even go to Elora (8 min drive) it’s a great affordable option compared to the others in the area. "
