The area is very safe. We did not like having to make our own beds, especially because we had elderly people with us, so trying to put bedding on bunk beds was exhausting. We were OK climbing up the bunks, because we knew that beforehand, but we didn't realize the beds would not be prepared. Also, there are no towels. You need to rent them for, I think it was, €7 or bring your own. So we just didn't shower. 😕 Plus the sink wouldn't properly drain.

Had to pay extra for lock for the lockers. And also towels were not provided. Reception said I had to pay extra for the towels.
I know this isn’t the Rosewood, but this feels like a rip-off on all accounts.
Clogged shower and drain, you have to make your own bed in a private room, windows don’t open, there’s nothing provided besides soap, you have to rent towels, breakfast was the worst ever, bikes were in a rough shape (and that did not prevent the hotel from charging a fairly hefty price), and I can go on.
Honestly, one of my WORST stays ever.
I ended up not staying the night as the bed in a pod - an otherwise clean and cool solution - had mattresses so thin that I couldn't get comfortable. People make a lot of noise opening and closing the doors to their pods and overall I needed much better quality sleep than was promised. Total waste of 100 euros.
Emplacement calme près des transports et d'un parc. Équipement propre et coffre pour barrer ses effets personnels sous les lits (gratuit si vous avez votre propre cadena)

Location is perfectly right outside the busy city Center and still super close and very easy to get around to wherever you would want to go! And oostpark is such a vibe!
Only one note, I have never in my life experienced worse mattresses.

Otelin lokasyonu çok güzeldi. Ancak asansörsüz odaya düştük ve yataklardan birinin metresinde demirler çıkmıştı, bu yüzden konforlu bi uyku uyuyamadık.
Do you need q Towel? You have to pay!!
Do you need soap for shower? You have to pay!
Do you need a hair drier? You have to pay!
Check out time… 10 am!!
Every door needs a key, making lots of noise at night when you’re sleeping!
Toilets maintenance not so please fix what is broken!

No air conditioning in the pod, complained to staff an then they put me in another pod also with no air conditioning, the key card stopped working multiple times i went to go for a shower with just a towel round my waist an couldn't get back to my pod because the card wasn't working so i had to go up to reception in just a towel, i was so embarrassed an the staff gave me another key card but didn't even apologise, i ive never been so humiliated in all my life
The property was perfect for 6 friends to visit Amsterdam. The price was excellent, and the accommodation was perfect for us, transport from the hotel to the main center was easy and cheap. The hotel was clean and the staff were very helpful. We had no issues whilst staying here.
Good facilities, awesome location at Oosterpark, and if you hVe/rent a bike, very convenient to get anywhere in the city! The mattress in my pod was a bit thin but sleep well every night.
This place was great. Locationwise too. My only issues were first of all the amount of dust in my bed. I know this is common with bunk beds, but this was a little unbearable I must admit. I also didn't realize there were breakfast slips the first morning. I thought the "normal" breakfast was it. I only got to try it once out of 3 mornings, but it was just jelly-like scrambled eggs and a small pastry.
But other than that I think this place is amazing. It's comfortable and welcoming.
I had a lovely stay in a 'pod' room at Generator Amsterdam during my trip. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the Pod was clean and fairly comfortable- no less comfy than a bunk, but with a bit more privacy. Cafe had food and drinks at reasonable prices. While I wasn't here long enough to check out the club or bar, the vibes were good all around and I felt safe and comfortable staying the night here. An interesting and positive experience! I would definitely consider coming back if I'm traveling solo in the area again.
