Lovely, recently renovated apartment in 19th century villa, one of the five most beautiful streets of Amsterdam.
Great canalview, peaceful and quiet ... yet walking distance/around the corner from restaurants, bars, market, coffee shops, shops, the zoo and museums.

The location is very unique; according to "'undiscovered Amsterdam" it is one of the five most beautiful streets.
Situated in the east of the center of Amsterdam; 10 minutes bicycling or tram from Dam square. Bicycle rent just around the corner. Car parking nearby. Tram around the corner. Very close to the center, yet still the real Amsterdam ...
Very suitable for a longer stay or a trip with family or friends, or just a short visit.

The apartment is on the top floor of the villa (2 stairs up) and has a really magnificant view on the canal.
It consists of two rooms that can be paid individually or together.
Both rooms are nicely decorated and have two separate luxurious beds; each room with a bathroom and toilet.
The apartment has access to a fully equipped kitchen (stove, cooker, dryer, dishwasher, fridge, washing machine).
We love it, and hope you will too !!

We were very happy with this stay. It was a big space right on the canal with beautiful views of the city. The host helped us take our luggage up to the apartment and showed us around. They were very kind and helpful. The apartment was very clean and had nice amenities (snacks, eggs, drinks in the kitchen; bathroom essentials; etc). They also provided a travel crib which was very convenient. It was a wonderful trip and I would highly recommend this apartment when staying in Amsterdam.

Schöne Wohnung, direkt an einer Gracht. In der Nähe eine sehr gute Infrastruktur mit Supermarkt, Restaurants und Geschäften. Parkplätze auf der Straße vor dem Haus. Dennoch ruhige Lage. Der Empfang durch den Gastgeber war sehr nett. Bequeme Betten, beide Zimmer mit eigener Dusche und WC ausgestattet. Der Kühlschrank war mit allerlei Lebensmitteln und Getränken gefüllt. Für ein Frühstück war alles vorhanden, sogar Kaffee. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen!

We had a wonderful stay in Wessel's apartment. All amenities were there and we also particularly appreciated the breakfast treats and the cleanliness. The neighbourhood was very nice, even on rainy and grey January days.

A clean and comfortable apartment in a peaceful and safe location, with good transport connections to the city centre. Supermarket, coffee shops, cafes and restaurants within the immediate neighbourhood.The front bedroom overlooks a canal, the rear bedroom looks into a private garden space. Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and a small but adequate kitchen is located between the bedrooms.A great place to return to at the end of a busy day, away from the intense tourism of the city centre.The hosts, Wessel And Helena were very helpful and easy to contact

Eine perfekte Wohnung für einen Mädels-Ausflug! CheckIn hat super geklappt! Wessel war so lieb und hat uns sogar alle Koffer über die steile Treppe zur Wohnung raufgetragen (2. Stock). In der nahen Umgebung sind Restaurants, Kneipen, Cafés und Lebensmittelläden sowie Tram-Haltestellen. Es hat an nichts gefehlt - vielen Dank!

Sehr schöne Lage an der Gracht. Ruhig und trotzdem Beisl in der Gegend

Küche war ausreichend ausgestattet. Der Kühlschrank sehr freundlich mit dem nötigsten gefüllt. Sehr freundlich! Die Stufen sind sehr steil, jedoch half der Sohn der Familie beim hinauftragen

What an amazing stay we had in Amsterdam. The apartment was incredibly convenient to the tram stop, to restaurants and cafes, to an incredible gym and to the wonderful Oosterpark. We got used to the twisty steep stairs in no time. Once inside, the apartment had everything we needed for our 8-day stay. We enjoyed a couple of evenings in over dinner. Lovely stay in Amsterdam

Apartment with two large en suite bedrooms, and a small, well equipped kitchen with a washer and dryer! Beware the very steep, long stairs (typical of Amsterdam) – Wessel's son was kind enough to help us get our luggage up them. Host was super friendly and accommodating, great communication and suggestions. Convenient, safe location with easy access to trams, and lots of places for food and shopping nearby. Definitely recommend!

Great location! Quiet and very comfortable apartment. The host was super helpful and friendly. Note that street parking is not an option as it is very expensive. But there is a nice garage close by for a little over 20 a day that is safe and secure.

Great Place to Explore Amsterdam

Cute and comfortable home base for exploring Amsterdam. Everything we needed was close by: market, train stop, nice restaurants. The apartment was really well located. We were able to take the train into all parts of the city and then easily return for the evening in a quiet and picturesque part of town. The apartment has nice windows for both bedrooms, with one overlooking the canal. The kitchen was nicely appointed and had a washer/dryer, which was helpful. There is a small couch and dining table, but they are located in the front bedroom, which still worked for us. The stairs to the apartment are very steep (as seems to be the case in these Amsterdam buildings) but Wessel sent his lovely son and daughter to help us with our luggage up and down the stairs. Wessel was super responsive to all my questions and took great care of us. I would stay here again!!!

Perfect for our Needs

Property is a typical Amsterdam townhouse with narrow steep steps. However, once you are settled in your space it is a wonderful apartment. The owner's daughter received us and even helped with carrying our luggage up the steps. We all observed how easy it was for her and we were impressed! The apartment is lovely and the owners' stocked the kitchen with eggs and other items including Heinekens. The location is close to public transportation and many restaurants. We loved our stay in this property and the steps were not a problem for us but should be kept in mind if you have oversized luggage or mobility issues.

Geheimtipp - Super Wohnung in ruhiger Gegend!

Wir waren vier Tage in Amsterdam und können sowohl die Unterkunft als auch die Gastgeber nur wärmstens empfehlen. Wessel und Hélenè sind unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber und hervorragend ausgestattet. Im Kühlschrank standen bereits Getränke, Eier und weitere Kleinigkeiten für uns bereit – sogar Kaffeepulver war vorhanden, ebenso wie alle notwendigen Geräte wie Wasserkocher und Kaffeemaschine.Die Gegend, direkt an einem Kanal gelegen, ist sehr ruhig und wunderschön. Wir hatten Fahrräder gemietet und waren damit in etwa 15 Minuten im Stadtzentrum von Amsterdam.Ein herzliches Dankeschön an Wessel und Hélenè – es war ein rundum gelungener Aufenthalt!Liebe Grüße,Thomas und Familie

Great place

Our host met us and gave us a tour. He was very accommodating and helpful. Carried our luggage up the stairs. Place was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The windows covered one wall and had a great view. The kitchen even had a few things stocked for us. Overall, they were very thoughtful and made our stay nice. The two separate bedrooms, with each their own bathroom, made it very pleasant. One thing to note is that there is no elevator and it is two steep flights of stairs up so if you have mobility issues, this would be Difficult however we were fine.
