Decent budget hostel

I stayed in Anchorage as my launch point to Denali and Seward/Kenai Fjords. It was good to be able to extend my stay and book the female dorm last minute in the days in between my trips. The manager, John, splits his time between the midtown location and downtown, and I found he was the most helpful in booking my transportation and the Kenai Fjords cruise. Overall staff were friendly and keep the place tidy despite how many ppl were staying there. It is a budget hostel and nothing fancy here. They provide breakfast which is a plus.

down town and inexpensive .. there is a $2 dollar bus to the AIRPORT right outside the property - easy to find.

Very friendly staff. Good place to meet and chat with other travellers. Very conveniently located, about 1 block from the downtown bus transit center. Next door to the Marriott, which is an easily seen landmark. Breakfast items provided, and the kitchen has an area where you can leave excess food you may have purchased or take what others have left behind. Wifi signal wasn't strong in my room (just off the kitchen/dining area) but worked fine in the common areas.

Zentrale Lage, o.k. wenn ohne Auto unterwegs

Ohne Auto aufgrund der Lage noch akzeptabel. Mit Auto bekommt man deutlich besseren Kompfort u.a. in Midtown zu günstigeren Preisen. Privatroom im UG viel zu klein, unrenoviert, schmutzig, dunkel. Hatten später Zi. im OG die deutlcih besser waren bei gleichem Preis.

Buena ubicación, el resto...

Ubicado en el downtown, este lugar no cuenta con elevador con todos los inconvenientes que por ello presenta (equipaje, discapacidades, etc). Las sábanas estaban limpias sin embargo el lugar no tanto. La cama muy cómoda eso sí.

Great location, good value.

The 8 bed dorm we stayed in was spacious, clean, very close to the bathroom. Good security with swipe card for dorm level entry, kitchen level entry and to room. Kitchen is spacious, and clean. Complimentary coffee was nice. Convenient downtown location just 10 min walk to alaska railroad depot. Very good value.

Hôtel qui fait bien son métier

Hôtel bien situé dans le downtown d ' Anchorage et bien accessible en transport en commun. Plein de commerces à côté (et plein de parking aussi !) et le plus grand mall d'Alaska est à quelque centaine de mètres. Il est bien tenu et propre pour ce type de standing. Le personnel sur qui je suis tombé était juste serviable : ni plus ni moins. La salle de bain commune (pour hommes) est propre et les toilettes aussi sont communes. Bref pour ce tarif l'hôtel vaut bien son prix.

Best bang for your buck in Anchorage

This was a surprisingly decent budget hotel that was clean, quiet, and friendly. Shared bathrooms were in great conditions, laundry facilities were fantastic to have in the frequently rainy weather, and the rooms were quiet. We had a private room right next to the men's bathroom and it was never too noisy. Easy central location was nice and walkable.

Fit our needs

This is a hostel more than a hotel. Convenient and inexpensive by Alaska standard. Shared bathroom and a room just for sleeping. Fit our needs and that's what counts.

Ok værelse, super beliggenhed

Hostellet er placeret rigtig godt i forhold til downtown. Kun nogle få blokke fra. Værelserne er 8-sengsværelser, hvilket er meget efter min mening, især fordi værelserne bliver meget varme Den daglige leder virkede lidt tvær men hjalp dog med spørgsmålene. Den unge norske pige der var på vagt da jeg tjekkede ind var til gengæld meget sød og imødekommende.

Decent lodging for a hostel ( my first time). Rooms were small but clean. Quiet building. Didn't care for the shared bathroom but I'm not a hostel type of traveler as I've learned lol. There are no blackout curtains which is also a problem.

Highly questionable accomdation

The place is relatively clean but the rooms are a real joke; the bed was on rollers, no trash can, tv, clock or mirror. Would NEVER stay there even if it was free. No insulation in the walls so not quiet.

Good nights sleep

Place is very clean, bed was comfy, a little squeaky. The Walls are a bit thin but slept well. Front staff very helpful. Worth the money if you have more then 2 staying. Would stay a again for a quick stop overnight.
