ENJOY spectacular VIEWS of the city skyline, ocean, & mountains. Keep COZY around the fireplace. World class hiking/skiing trails are in walking distance. This is a luxurious Alaskan mountain getaway. We are 20 minutes from the Airport & 10 minutes from shopping & local amenities.
The suite is spacious for 2, but accommodates 4 with a futon. We don’t provide TV to promote a unique experience devoid of everyday distractions. Come unplug and be REFRESHED!

***HOUSE RULES*** In order to make your experience with us as pleasant as possible we have some House Rules ~
* Guests MUST be 25 years or older (Unless you are a family with children).
* ONLY RESERVED guests are allowed with a maximum of 4. Undeclared guests are NOT allowed.
* NO VISITORS outside of reserved guests.

* You are provided ONE parking space for ONE vehicle. The space is located in front of the garage door furthest to the right.

* 4-Wheel or All-Wheel Drive vehicles, with Winter Tires are NECESSARY for Winter access. We are located in the mountains and have a steep driveway. (September - April).

* NO SMOKING in unit, or on property. No EXCEPTIONS!

* NO EVENTS or PARTIES.
* NO PETS.

* NO shoes past the entryway.
* NO drones.
* Quiet hours are 10pm to 10am. Please be mindful of our neighbors.

* WASH and PUT AWAY all dishes that you use.

* Do not cook any food that will leave an unpleasant smell.

* Please be respectful of our property. Any damage above normal wear and tear to the premise will be the responsibility of the guest to repair, replace, or reimburse.

First time to Alaska

Celebrating my husbands retirement and our 35th anniversary, we found this gem and stayed 5 nights on our first ever visit to Alaska‼. Stunning and magnificent views from Windy’s chalet. She is an incredible host ‼ everything was wonderful ‼ I especially loved the window seat swing and I also loved the 2trailheads that were so close by…..a great place to walk ‼

Amazing views every day!

It wasn’t the most fancy place we’ve stayed, but the amazing sunsets and sunrises, daily views of Denali, and the location were perfect! You do need a 4 wheel drive vehicle if coming in winter or spring as the driveway and road leading up to it is steep and icy.

My wife and I wanted to see a couple of places after our cruise ended near Anchorage so we discovered this gem that was wonderful to stay in and enjoy the great views of Anchorage, Cook Inlet, the surrounding mountains, and even Denali

Beautiful Hillside

Beautiful scenery of Anchorage, very cozy with a fireplace and swinging seat to overlook Anchorage and the Sleeping Lady. Wonderfuk and accommodating host. Will stay again in the future!

Nice living area above garage, very clean, cozy gas fire place that is perfect after a day on the glacier or hiking. Beautiful view and when skies are clear can see Denali!

The property was easy to find, everything was where it needed to be. It was clean and comfortable. We had amazing views of Anchorage and the surrounding mountains. The host was very helpful, especially when I did not have the check-in information from the app which I had not been able to download. Would stay again if we are in the area.

Perfect Basecamp while exploring the Alaskan Wilderness

First off, what a view this property offers of Anchorage. Easy check in process which was great because we didn’t get in until about 2am. Used this mostly as a jumping off point while we hiked a glacier, saw the northern lights, dined in downtown Anchorage, and visited Girdwood. Host is kind and responsive. Wouldn’t have done our trip any other way

Amazing!!!

Hosts were very nice, amazing people. The view was breath taking. The wife and I spent most of our time looking out at the stunning view. Grocery store is right down the hill. Hiking trails near by. I'd give it 6 out of 5 stars if I could. Would go back again!!!

Best views

We had amazing views from our garage chalet. The coat one bedroom chalet over the garage was clean and was everything it was advertised to be. It served as our home base for nearly two weeks. The unit is perfect for a couple looking to get away. It is located just a few miles from one of the entrances to the Chugach State Park that had hiking trails and amazing views. Windy was quick to respond to any questions we had. We highly recommend this property.

A fabulous getaway just a short drive from Anchorage!

We absolutely loved our stay! The suite was clean, beautifully decorated, and cozy. The kitchen was fully stocked with food items, utensils, and appliances (though no paper towels, in case you need them!), and the bed was very comfy! The bathroom was a nice size, too. Nothing beat having a cup of coffee in the swinging chair overlooking Anchorage! Plus, our host made arrangements for us to check-in early which was incredibly appreciated after a long drive from Seward and hiking Flattop (great trails right around the corner)! We plan to stay here again when we next visit Alaska.

Truly amazing inlet and city view

We had a wonderful time staying here for a week while house hunting in Anchorage. The one bedroom apartment was cozy and beautifully decorated. I loved the fireplace was automatically running to maintain the set temperature. We very much enjoyed the view especially at night when the city lighted up in dark. We rented an AWD and got stuck once in slush but Windy and her husband helped us to get uphill. We appreciated their help!

Highly Recommend!!

The property is beautiful! It’s a cute little suite with a fantastic view. I wanted for nothing while I was there. I had to communicate with the hostess, Windy, a little bit before my trip and she was awesome to work with. While I was there we got snowed in and she communicated both the plans for having the area plowed and gave me good advice for the winter driving conditions. I spent 6 days there and it flew by. I’d happily stay again. I already miss it.

Great property

View is great and host was easily accessible for questions. Lots of wonderful natural light and stellar view. Kitchen had a nice stash of supplies but I occasionally found myself running out of plates, cups, and silverware when preparing food for my family of 4. I’d definitely rent again, but would take disposable plates and cups. Bathroom had lots of clean towels which was great! We were surprised the coin laundry is not at the rental. Laundry would better be described as ‘laundromat nearby.’ It’s about a 12 minute drive to nearest laundromat.

Okay but I'll look elsewhere next time.

As noted, it was okay, but... sparse. The view of Anchorage was killer. And nothing was terrible. Just sort of blah. Of note, there is NO TELEVISION!! Internet was adequate from the router next door. The view was great but the windows needed cleaning. It does have a gas fireplace but the glass in front of that was dirty too. The bed was comfortable but small. Looked like a double, not even a queen. And lastly, the shag carpet looks leftover from decades past. And after the first snow you'd definitely want 4WD to get up the driveway!

Nice stay

It was a very nice, clean, and cozy apartment. The location was wonderful. Everything you see in the pictures is what you’ll get. My 2 problems with the place was the lack of kitchen equipment and not having all black out curtains. There are black out curtains in the bedroom however the bedroom isn’t fully walled in (at the ceiling) so light from the kitchen windows gets in to the bedroom and it was super hard to sleep in the middle of summer. And I only complain of this because out of all the hotels and rentals I stayed in Alaska, this was the by far the worst for sleeping. I wish the kitchen had a little more cooking equipment present. It was hard to even make a salad because there was no cutting boards.
