"A fantastic hotel. The rooms we very clean. We had a great view from our room, looking out over the waterfront, with snow covered hills in the background. However, I believe that some rooms looked inwards over the hotel lobby. The hotel is spotleiclean and the huge hotel lobby has many features. The staff were supremely helpful and friendly, but at the fear of singling one in particular out - a big shout out to Olga, for whom nothing was too much trouble, a real credit to the hotel. The hotel is just a little way out of downtown Reykjavik, but there are 2 bus stops nearby, and the bus ride is only a few minutes into the centre. If I go back to Reykjavik in the future, then without hesitation, this is the hotel I would look to book."

"Had a lovely stay in Iceland. Room was clean. For the size of the room and if it’s single person smaller bed might be more suitable. Had issues with the room key on day 1, and after reporting the issues I had continuous issues for the remainder of the holiday. "had a great stay at the Sand Hotel in Iceland, and one of the highlights was definitely the breakfast. It was excellent—fresh, healthy, and thoughtfully prepared. There was a wide variety of options, and everything felt high-quality. One standout detail was the ginger shots, which were such a refreshing and energizing touch. It’s not something you see everywhere, and it really elevated the whole experience. Parking, however, is a bit more complicated. Since the hotel is located in the city, there’s no dedicated parking lot, so you’ll need to rely on street parking. The area is divided into zones labeled P1 to P3, and parking is paid by the hour. It can take a little time to find a spot, and you’ll need to keep track of the parking rules, but that’s fairly typical for a central city location. Overall, the breakfast alone makes a strong impression, and while parking requires some planning, it doesn’t take away from an otherwise excellent stay."
