"LOVED this hotel!! Great room. Great location. Great staff! Blackout curtains were the first ones we had on an 11 night trip that actually blacked out the room. Important in the summer!! "

"Check-in was a bit confuse due to the address of the property, Cleaniess: The 2 bathroom sinks in both bathroon has a funky smell. Other than that the bathrooms are cleaned. The wood floor is dirty and a bit old that need to be updated. Host: Very nice, very responsive and accommodation for us to check in a bit early on arrive date and check out a bit late on depart date. Location: very convinience close to shopping groceries, restaurant and bus stop."

"Awesome location & walkable to central Reykjavik shopping & dining, friendly staff (who even gave us an upgraded room - thanks!), the breakfast with warm sourdough bread was great & plenty of food to even pack lunches. We used this as our main base & took day trips & it worked perfectly. Room was modern & spotlessly clean. Beds were super comfy. They are doing construction by the main reception/hotel which was noisy. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone & we had a wonderful stay! "

"Just had a 3-night stay at ION City. Staffs were all friendly and amazing. Location is in the core downtown tourism area of reykjavic so that could be pro or cons depending on what you like. It's a little bit loud outside especially if the room is towards the street, but window is reasonably sound-proof. One issue was that when I first arrived there were a few blood drops in the bath towels, but after I raised that issue the room service was all good for the rest of the stay. Overall 4/5. "

"I really enjoyed my stay here. The location is super convenient—an easy walk to many of the city’s main sights. The hotel itself is clean, modern, and well-maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. But the standout was the breakfast buffet—honestly one of the best I’ve had at any hotel. Great variety, fresh options, and everything was delicious. Would absolutely stay here again!"

"The hotel had the most wonderful location. It was just off the main downtown road and everywhere one wanted to be. It was very clean, staff was very helpful and professional. The restaurant on site was wonderful! The only drawback was there wasn’t any air conditioning in the rooms. The two days we visited we actually could have used it, very warm."

"The Hotel Borg rooms were lovely and the hotel itself was charming. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the amenities wonderful. Hotel is centrally located in downtown Reykjavik close to everything. The hotel staff was hit or miss. Some reception agents were lovely others were cool and less helpful. "

"Wonderful location central to most activities, great communication with the host, clean, perfect for two. Well equipped kitchenette. "

"Location was great. Listing said the room had a toaster, but this was not true. Instructions for using the hotplate were insufficient, we had to ask for help when instructions should have said that the pot needed to be placed on the hotplate for it to work. (Apparently this is obvious to some people!) Overall we enjoyed our stay. "

"The owner was very responsive to my inquiries. The check-in/out process was smooth and straightforward. Loved the spacious room and amenities. "

"We were a large group staying at hotel two days early for a cruise. We arrived at 11 AM and three out of the six rooms were ready, the other three were ready by 1PM. This was welcomed news after a redeye flight. Rooms were a bit small but comfortable. Very clean and comfortable bed. Staff very friendly and helpful."
