"Spacious, quiet, clean house with a huge kitchen. Very comfortable casual seating. Fully-fenced front and backyard was perfect for our bouncy golden retriever who needed to burn off energy after a long day of traveling in the car. Tastefully decorated with photos of the Painted Hills. Host provided plenty of local tourism information , dining recommendations, and even a jar of honey from her business.This is an excellent basecamp from which to explore the John Day fossil beds. It is just minutes from the Painted HIlls unit, and an hour driving north to the Clarno unit or east to the Sheep Rock unit."

"Patricia's house is a great home in which to spend time in Madras. It was easy to find, very clean, contained what was needed to live for 10 days after adding our Vons purchases. The bed was very comfortable, and supplying a Brita water filter pitcher I'm finicky about the water I drank! I highly recommend this adorable house."

"What a wonderful time my mom, daughter and I had! The hosts were amazing and made it feel warm and welcoming. My family and I learned so much on this trip. We had such a great time horseback riding! The breakfast was also very tasty and I was so thankful they catered to my dietary needs ( I cant do dairy or gluten). We will be referring this place to others and I highly recommend."
