It's a family hotel!

Oh Pax Hotel, you did not disappoint! Centrally located. Directly a street above the church where Saint Carlo Acutis is laid to rest. We also had a free breakfast! That was a very nice surprise. Quite a variety of food!! If you went away hungry its your own fault! Beds were comfortable. The bathroom clean. Would highly recommend

Great location in a beautiful town!

Parking in Assisi in never easy however, the suggestion from the hotel owner to park in the deck at the bottom of the city was very helpful! There was a lift and escalator to assist in reaching the top. That was very helpful. You must remember to pay for your parking before you attempt to exit the parking garage.... trust me... it's not good to get stuck at the exit gate.... Our rookie mistake... not the parking garage's mistake.

Everyone in this hotel went way out of the way to make me feel welcome. They were kind, helpful, generous, and the hotel is beautiful. Charming, well located, and affordable. Just steps away from the church where Blessed Carlo Acutis is. Perfect location to walk everywhere. It is one of the best hotel experiences I have had.

The location was pretty good and the staff was very friendly. My only critiques would be that there was no a/c. A fan would have really helped. I opened my windows a little but there was a pigeon who sat outside my bathroom window at night so I couldn't open it very wide. Also, they should probably spend a little money and update the sheets and comforter which were not soft at all. But given the price, location, and staff, I would consider staying here again.

A lovely hotel in the heart of Assisi. Best location one can imagine. Great service, full (Italian) breakfast including coffee options. Beds are firm/hard, but for us that was ok. Showers are small, typical of Italy. Highly recommend!

Feels like home, excellent service

We stayed here 5 years ago, and wanted to stay at Hotel Pax again. Grace and her father (the owners) treat you like family, and are so helpful, friendly and kind. They were very accomodating in allowing us to drop off luggage early before check-in, had great restaurant suggestions when asked, and even helped us find a store to buy some walking sticks when my daughter hurt her foot. I would highly recommend this place.

We liked the excellent service provided by the owners of Hotel Pax, especially by Grace and Antonio. Their restaurant Ristorante Medoevo, just around the corner, was wonderful as well. What we didn't like was that there wasn't a Do Not Disturb sign, no tissues provided in the room, and only one wastebasket in the large suite.

The staff was exceptional! It is a quaint hotel tucked away in a quiet area of Assisi. It is located right in the heart of the historic center. You can get anywhere by walking in just 15-20 minutes. Driving a vehicle makes it difficult to access the hotel because of restricted driving zones. However, we called the hotel and the staff not only gave us specific directions and came to the area to get our luggage. Eduardo then provided explicit directions to the parking garage and finally recommended and made reservations for dinner at a great restaurant. What could have been a stressful situation with the driving was handled with professionalism and perfection and made our stay extremely pleasant.

The stay was very good the only problem was the ac units had been shut down for the season and the room was very hot 24 degrees and you could not open the windows as there were no screens and the mosquito were still bad. Great location easy walking distance to all places and the restaurant attached was very good. Breakfast was good even had hard boiled eggs which is a very rare thing in Italy it appears that no one eats a big breakfast here only pastries and coffee

Hotel Pax - a peaceful & quiet hotel in Assisi

Hotel Pax is a wonderful hotel for a stay in Assisi. It's close to the Piazza del Commune and most of the major churches, monasteries, and convents in the old city of Assisi. The Basilica of Saint Francis is about 12 mins away. My single occupancy twin bed room was small but fine. The bed was very comfortable! The bathroom was spacious and clean. The shower stall was a bit tight for my size, but that is a common experience in Italy (and France). The breakfast buffet was well stocked with all kinds of Italian and continental breakfast items and was very much to my liking. The service was exceptional, very friendly and efficient. The hotel also has a restaurant, Ristorante Medioevo, around the corner which I also can recommend. The food was delicious and the service was great. If I have the chance in the future, I'll visit both places again.

It is run by a sister and brother who is super helpful. Our room is facing the little so it's a bit noisy depending who were screaming outside in the middle of the night. The breakfast was very good with freshly baked goods. Highly recommended.

Door to bathroom which is away from view from the main room area.
A very large breakfast selection that should cover the wants of most guests.
I really like the idea of using a little waffle cup for holding jams. The croissants are freshly baked and still warm, by the way.
