"We booked for one night, and were looking forward to using the spa facilities. When we arrived, we were told that they were shut for refurbishment. Apparently, this work has been going on for some time. I was told an email had been sent out. I did not receive any email. The hotel has a duty to let people know such things, so they have a choice of changing their plans. I noticed a lot of unhappy people that weekend. They are not afraid to charge top prices, and yet offer very little in return."

"We only stayed for one night, but what a great experience. The hosts, Ann and Michael were wonderful. They waited for us (we checked in late), gave us good suggestions for a quick dinner in town. We decided to have breakfast with them the next day and that was soooo worth it. Amazing spread and choices of food. I would highly highly recommend this place to anyone."

"Very helpful staff. They helped arrange laundry and taxi services for us. Breakfast and dinner menus were very good. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Beds were comfortable. Free parking for patrons. Great experience for younger and older people in our group."

"The G was a lovely hotel and spa. Easy check-inand the employees at the front desk were great, very helpful. Love the flavored waters offered in the lobby. The thermal suite was a welcome treat after a long day. The rooms were a clean good size and the bathroom also was great. Loved the towel warmer and the soaps. It is a quick drive or taxi ride into Galway City Centre. Breakfast was very good lots of options and fresh Would highly recommend"

"Room was clean and the staff were great to us. Hotel’s location was also great. 5 minute walk to the city centre, train, bus station, and Lidl (supermarket). Only thing that could have been better is a little bench for luggage and possibly another chair. We were two people so it would get crammy at times. Also, the walls are thin. Everything can be heard from the hallway. Luckily we had a corner room so it wasn’t bad at all. Overall, we would definitely come to the Dean again!"

"Similar scenario as other hotels in Ireland. They are not family friendly. Swimming pools kick children out by 6 PM. Nightly rates are insanely expensive. I truly don’t understand the point of a Hotel swimming pools that don’t allow children to swim in the evening"

"Our first night in we tried to order food for our kids but the phone in our room didn’t work. When we went downstairs to the restaurant it took them a while to figure it how to order food to our room. When it showed up to the room it didn’t have the drinks we ordered and the person was upset with us because we didn’t use the phone to order our food. The pool is not just the hotels pool, it is a gym that you can buy a membership to. The “kids pool” was small and cold."

Although it’s outside the center of the city, it has some shopping and restaurants around and has a Spar on site."

"The hotel is ok, could have been a bit cleaner, the breakfast could have been better - pretty basic buffet for $15 Euros. The shower did not have a lot of pressure, enough to get clean but that’s about it. The staff is nice and the location is great. Needs a few upgrades to get a better rating."
