"A real gem and perfect in every way. I booked this stay last minute after a dreadful experience at another local hotel, and it was an absolute breath of fresh air from the moment I arrived. Within minutes of booking, I received a detailed information pack with my room number, PIN code, and everything I could possibly need for my stay. You also have your own allocated parking spot. The owner called personally to thank me for the booking, confirm I had received the details, and invite me to get in touch if I needed anything at all. Well I certainly didn't want for anything 😉 The property has been freshly converted and is beautifully presented and finished. The room was spotless, with air conditioning and free Wi‑Fi, and was a very welcome sight after my previous poor experience. Its beautifully presented and had everything you could ever need, even a fridge and microwave. I will definitely stay here again next time I’m in the area and would not hesitate to recommend it."

"Stayed in ensuite quadruple room (2nd floor), surprised to find small kitchenette with sink fridge kettle and microwave - tea coffee sugar and milk provided - 4 mugs but no other crockery. Large room with table and 3 chairs, beds were fairly comfortable but duvets were very thin. Window a bit draughty as it didnt close properly, this also made it a bit noisy in the room in the morning. A good heater in the room and heated towel rail in the bathroom. Good town centre location, 5 minutes walk to train station and all local amenities on the doorstep. I hadn't realised that these rooms are part of the Red Lion Pub/Hotel which is where you have to check in but the room was through a separate entryway into another building. There is a dedicated reception desk next to the bar, receptionist was very polite and helpful. Bar and dining area is large and welcoming, breakfasts are available which are cheaper if you prebook through reception."

"Lovely little pub, friendly staff and locals and a good vibe. The cups in the room for brews were dirty and the shower was weak but for less than a hundred quid it was fine. The chefs never turned up for work so the food was made by the landlady which was nice of her. If we're in Tamworth again, we'll definitely consider staying here again"
