"OLD SALT" has 4 bedrooms (four queens, one full, and one twin) can accommodate 10 people; 2 1/2 baths (master has a walk-in shower and Jacuzzi), living room with two sofas that have 4 recliners, a fully furnished kitchen, washer & dryer, covered front porch with glider/chairs, open balcony off of upstairs master. Home has high speed internet, Roku in each bedroom along with Neflix.
Home features full hot and cold enclosed outside shower, gas grill, and corn-hole boards. Our home can accommodate five full sized vehicles (including SUV's). Enjoy parking once and walking to the beach, restaurants, THE CIRCLE, shopping areas and beach side volleyball.

Home is also a short distance from children's park featuring a water splash area, skate board park and mini-golf area.
The aquarium, , fishing docks, and Fort Macon State Park are only a short driving distance away. Morehead City is just over the bridge -home to lots of dining areas, docks, and night life.

The house was perfectly located and had plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen was stocked very well and made the stay more pleasant with no need for additional purchases. We were extremely happy with the location and the space. Our family looks forward to staying again.

Property was clean, and location was great. Blinds were broken in downstairs bedroom which made it difficult to sleep in the mornings with direct sunlight. Several interior doors did not lock. Overall, our stay was good and we enjoyed our time.

We had a wonderful time at this little bungalow! The 2nd story deck was a real highlight, as was the outdoor shower (at least for our almost-4 year old). Really amazing location less than 2 minutes from beach access and the Circle. Kitchen was well provisioned with cooking items and beds were very comfortable.

The Fishing Crew at Old Salt

This is a great place to stay. About a block walk to the beach,10 minute drive to marina & lots of local restaurants 10 to 20 minutes drive away. My crew & I really enjoy staying here. Owner is very accommodating, easy to get in touch with & quick to respond. I plan to continue coming back any time my deep-sea fishing or other plans take me to Atlantic beach.

What's not to like!

Our family enjoyed a 3-night stay and were blessed with great weather. We loved the space and used all 4 bedrooms - all comfy beds but the upstairs 2-bed room on the left had squeaky beds. The walk to the ocean was less than 5 minutes, and the public wooden ramp made the walk even easier!

2024 fishing trip

We have stayed at Old salt for 5 years. It accommodates 6 people for our annual fishing trip. The house is close to the beach, close to Morehead City where the boat is docked. This house always meets our needs for us.

Exactly as advertised!

What an outstanding place to stay! Daphne was incredibly communicative and available for us. And the place was precisely as advertised. We were a block from the beach and the accommodations were perfect. Plenty of kitchen stuff for meals and beds were plentiful and comfortable. I recommend Daphney as a host and her place for AB stays. We will be back. Thank you Daphne!

The beach house is conveniently located—a 2-minute walk to the beach and a walkable distance to several restaurants, bars, and dessert places so you don’t have to pay for parking. Having onsite parking for three cars is convenient if you need to drive somewhere further. After going to the beach, you can use the outdoor shower and hose to rinse the sand off. The central AC keeps everyone cool on the hotter humid days. The host was very responsive leading up to our trip, which helped us prepare for our stay. Some important considerations: The stairs are steep/narrow and the upstairs area has a low ceiling.

Perfect beach house for family fishing trip

Owner was an excellent communicator and gave awesome recommendations of restaurant, activities, and even the local beach wheelchair program because one family member has mobility issues. House was so beachy cute and clean and comfortable, and was wheelchair accessible. Main floor bedrooms and bathroom plus the upstairs bedrooms and bathroom. It was great that everyone was under the same roof with enough space for all to have private bedrooms. Kitchen was well stocked. Even a small basket with commonly used toiletry items (much needed by a couple in the group!). Comfortable front porch including a glider and rocking chairs. Easy access to beach. Awesome outdoor shower to keep sand out of house. Close to everything and also very quiet. Absolutely perfect spot. Hope to make this our annual rental. Sent from Yahoo Mail on Android

Family Get Together

The place met all our needs. It had enough bedrooms and bathrooms for the 3 adults and 1 child who stayed. The house was clean; the kitchen had enough supplies for making meals; and the house was very comfortable. The best part was that the house was 1.5 blocks to the beach!Our host did a great job of communicating with us and provided a detailed list of places to visit and to eat. We enjoyed our stay immensely!
