This house was such a disappointment. The owner has obviously put the bare minimum into the house to make it available for rent and is charging a premium. On the positives, the location is great and the view and access to the beach is superb. We are serious cooks and the kitchen has pretty much all one needs and the gas stove was a plus. That's what you are paying for so decide if it's worth it. The rest was pretty suboptimal. The master bedroom is quite small and doesnt really have a shower. We had maintenance issues almost every day: the main level AC did not work all week, the laundry room flooded, the kitchen sink backed up, some bathroom doors were rusted warped and would not close/latch properly. Some bedroom windows did not have operable shades. Mountains of dead ants collected at the main living room window seats over the week. LARGE cockroachs/palemetto bugs found in all the lower level bedrooms. When a professional HVAC contractor arrived mid-week he said the ductwork in the attic was basically disintegrated and that the air handler was ancient. There is rust everywhere inside and out. The house was build in 1960 and feels like a time warp -- very little has been updated. Okay, maybe the kitchen in the early 2000's. The furniture is an odd collection of thrift store leftovers, tattered, frayed leaving everything with an overall shabby feel. Maybe this was a wonderful house full of grand memories at some point, but she is well past her prime and I would stay away.
