Property is generally basic and tired. On a busy road, but off street parking a bonus. I chose it as it was convenient for a weekend visit to our nearby daughters.
First and foremost, fantastic staff. The staff have been very helpful and accommodating on both of my visits here, which is probably why I chose to come back the second time. The rooms I have stayed in are great. They are clean, comfortable, quiet, and have had everything that I've needed. The location is central enough to access shops, cafes, and restaurants. Overall, it's been awesome, and I'll be booking again in the future! Cheers guys.
Manager Gary went out of his way consistently to make sure our needs were met. He was friendly and courteous and we felt safe staying in the motel. The rooms are updated and spacious and had everything we needed. We are international visitors vacationing in New Zealand and were in Auckland twice between traveling between different parts of the country- we chose to return to this hotel the second time too.

Too far from shops also when we came to check in no one was in the office…
The people in office were really nice. But we booked for executive king suite. It was not a king bed. It was a queen size. We booked with 2 other couples for the same room. They got a king bed in there rooms. But we didnt. We all paid the same price too. So thats only the down side part about our stay.

No toilet paper, no towels
Dirty fridge with leftover meat and bones inside.
Worst thing of all was the sofa bed they considered as the third bed!! No comfort there.
Cheap a nasty place beware!!
The property was dirty on arrival, only given 1 towel, 1 hand towel and 1 face cloth for 4 guests. Right by main road so noisy traffic. Sheets had stains and you have to pay extra $10 if you want clean towels for next day. Floor looked like its never been mopped and tv has hand and finger prints all over screen on arrival. Found out the motel is used as emergency housing facility. Overall, very disappointed and will not be returning 😒

Most uncomfortable bed ever. It felt like lying on concrete. Stairs to ground level were outside and felt dangerous in the rain. But hosts were friendly and carried bags up and down stairs for me. Good big fridge.

Booked for three , wasn’t set up for 3 guests , advertising is misleading with what you get examples, mini bar ,outside area messy, pictures are false, dirty stained robes, broken toilet roll holder & brush, cleanliness sub standard , fire extinguishers haven’t been serviced for a year, overall not happy with stay.
Bedroom heater didn't work,bathroom door broken,no spare blanket or pillows.Police at unit next door twice,insufficent tea and milk.Stayed 2x nites unit not serviced.Should have read previous reviews as they were correct. Would not stay again.

Not what it looked like on the website photo wise, not clean ordered a room with 2 beds when we arrived they didn’t have rooms with 2 beds! We declined staying in the accommodation waiting on a refund as there was no staff on the premises to refund us then!
This place is in desperate need of a renovation. It’s being held together by positive vibes & duct tape (literally). Also needs a thorough clean. We went out to get some drain cleaner as the smell was terrible and it didn’t do much unfortunately.
The highlight would be the staff. They are extremely friendly, helpful and very busy. I’m sure they’d love an extra set of hands.
Not very clean. No sky. Not worth the money. Broken toilet handle. Taped up bits and pieces around the room. Not impressed with the standards of cleanliness.

When we arrived the towels in the bathroom half were hangin up and looked like they were already used
I went to have a shower and both soap dispensers were empty the soap dispenser by the sink had a centimetre of soap
2 sugar sachets 1 tea bag sachet 1 coffee sachet and no milk of any kind whether powder or capsule. Really slack for what we paid
If you look out the back window it looked like shanty town just total mess
well where do I start. We had to ask for milk as we werent given any at check in. The condiments hadnt been topped up. The microwave had food splattered in it. The fridge was filthy inside and out. The mirror in the bathroom was dirty and the chromeware was dirty. We asked for blankets as was freezing. The duvets were almost pee stained and one duvet had blood stains on it. In the morning, time for a shower, but guess what? NO HOT WATER!!!!! i reported this to reception, by then bloody angry. the guy from the office was of no help. he said he would speak to his Manager. Apparently there was a electrical fault which resulted in no hot water. we have asked for a FULL REFUND but was given $82 instead of $186, this is because of booking fees and other fees involved. Ill never return. The Regal Residency Auckland is the worst paid accommodation i have ever stayed at.
