It was funky and fun location. However, there was extreme pot smells as well as other smells all night. The shower was gross and barely usable. Beds were fine. Kitchen was fine but we didn’t cook in it. There is a nice shared patio in the front.

The pictures make this place seem nicer then it actually is. It's pretty run down. Firstly I did not realize what a steep hill it's on, it was not easy hiking up it with all our luggage, beware it's steep. It would have been nice to know that more. The absolute best thing is the view from the corner king room we got. You do see the ocean from there. But because of those windows you get light flooding in the room by the porch light that gets left on all night. The windows are not blackout curtains, they are curtains from the 70's at least (bring eye shades of you need it dark). You get what you pay for I suppose. The floor is so loud and wavey, makes you feel drunk. The bed is soft, loud as well and very bouncy. We didn't use the kitchen but the fridge made a terrible noise all night long (bring ear plugs). AC/heat was another terribly noisy thing, we actually didn't even use it the whole time we were there, because it never seemed to actually do anything but make noise.

The hotel is old and the room smells very bad. When we arrived it was no one at the front desk only the room keys with a note.the furniture very old and stinks. At night we smorgasbord we check the stove but still can smell the gas. It wasn’t very strong but we can still smell it we tried to reach the front desk but again no one in there. We spent the night with the windows open and we left early in the morning.

This hotel is well equipped and well throughout. The mini kitchen is extremely useful in addition to the table, chairs, the bedding, and it has iron too! The free van pickup at the ferry port is super helpful!! I really enjoyed staying here and will book it again for my next trip!!

This hotel was booked last minute so we were grateful for the availability. The room was extremely clean. For the price, we have no complaints. It was nice having a kitchen although we ended up not cooking but having the refrigerator was a plus. The staff are very kind, and helpful and responsive. We would stay there again, however, it is worth noting that this hotel is at the top of a very steep hill which can be challenging if walking, but thankfully, the Circuit (Uber equivalent) that is available in Avalon came in very handy!
