Silver Dart Lodge

Silver Dart Lodge

8/10 Good
"Room was very clean with the exception of the bathtub….when showering the drain was backing up. On notifying the front desk they assured us it would be fixed promptly. Breakfast was also closed on the morning of our stay but as we were checking out it wasn’t a big deal & we went to a lovely cafe in Baddeck instead. We also had dinner in the dining room and it was only ok. I was happy they had laundry facilities as we were away for a lengthy time & needed some clean clothes. Overall a decent stay and the views from our room were amazing."

"Great location, an easy walk to restaurants etc. Staff was very helpful and gave us a thorough orientation, including to the Cabot Trail, upon checkin. In-house restaurant looked lovely, but we ended up not going there because we got back too late (and it does look a bit pricey). The rooms were comfortable but we moved some small furniture items around so we had a place to set our bathroom things and had sufficient nightstand space."

"The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Since no breakfast included, a coffee maker would have been nice. Main complaint was how long it took to warm up. Our stay was on a chilly October night and the room was freezing. Took us a moment to get the heater working, Luckily we had sleeping bags to add to the bed, by morning it was comfortable."

"Amazing and fun experience! We got to see the stars! Bathrooms beside the domes were new or finishing construction. Due to the cold, rainy and very windy conditions (overnight low of 4 celcius) the heater was on high but it was a very cold (12 degrees in dome) through the night. Suggest not a fall experience. Hot tub and fire pits available as well."
