"We really enjoyed our stay. It was a great place for lots of families to gather. We mostly ate on the deck so everyone could eat together at the multiple tables. The property manager was quick to respond and make sure things were going well. The house has everything we needed even if it took a minute to figure out where things were. It was dated but clean. There were beach chairs, toys, and an umbrella, although I get the impression these are just left by guests and not necessarily provided/ guaranteed by the owners. There was a crock pot, blender, grill (with strict rules that it had to be used away from the house). The beach was a quick 5 minute drive. "

The house is STOCKED with everything you could ever need! Everything was clean and just as described. This house is truly a case where it’s even BETTER than the pictures… plus you can’t beat the view! We’ll be back!"

"The owner was extremely responsive and helpful throughout the whole process. The home is located on a quiet cul de sac and has two golf carts to get you around the island. We enjoyed how fully equipped the kitchen was and the extra space as well. The mattresses were new and comfortable and they had lots of beach supplies if needed. The porch was nice too on some breezy evenings. We would definitely recommend this home."

"I have been coming to BHI since 1984. This is the first time I have stayed in Fire. It was perfect for what I needed. Even though it’s small, it was plenty of room for myself and actually 2 people would be comfortable. It was quiet and Jules provided ample communication and made the whole check in and check out process very easy. I would highly recommend Fire for a single or even a couple. "

"The island is amazing. The house was a perfect spot for the two of us on our anniversary get away. The pictures are very accurate to the actual house. Cleanliness was good and the stairs are what the picture shows. Easy to navigate but takes a bit to get used to it. The lock box when you check in is on the porch rail and not the door, so that was a little confusing but other than that the property was as advertised and was great. We would stay again no question about it. Just a heads up for anyone reading the review, you will need to book the ferry and the tram before showing up. We tried on the way down but the presale tickets were all sold out for the day so we had to get a standby ticket. The ferry brings you from Southport to the island and the tram service will shuttle you to the house and pick you up on the day of departure. "
