(4BR, 3.5 BA,1K / 2Q / 2T, Sleeps 8, 2 Golf Carts, Pet Friendly, Saturday Turn in Peak Season, CHECK OUT 10:30AM / CHECK IN 4:30PM) A Soft Landing is a fantastic four-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom oceanfront retreat that's dog friendly! (Dogs allowed for an additional $300/dog nonrefundable pet fee.) Revel in A Soft Landing's warm breezes, listening to the sounds of the waves and soaking in unobstructed ocean views. The sun worshippers in your group will be in heaven on the expansive second-story deck that runs the length of the house. Under this area are both a covered porch (perfect for rocking or napping) and a screened porch. Inside, the light-filled, two-story sitting area is accentuated by soaring ceilings and warm hardwoods.

Nearby, the open floorplan's dining area comfortably seats eight at its table and is adjacent to the breakfast bar. Just beyond, the chef's kitchen cooks with stainless appliances, plenty of counter prep space, a farm sink and a wine cooler. It even boasts water views on two sides! The bright King Master suite, located on this level, features a four-poster King bed and private porch access as well as an unbeatable view of the Atlantic. The private full bath affords a deep, jetted sunken Jacuzzi and a spacious tiled shower with bench seating.

There are three additional bedrooms upstairs. One is a Queen suite with its own full bath, private sitting room and deck access. The second Queen bedroom also features private deck access. The final bedroom is furnished with two twin beds. The latter two bedrooms share a bath, conveniently located just across the hall. Additional amenities included are games, DVDs/ CDs / VHS movies, toys, a gas grill, an outdoor shower, boogie boards, beach chairs, adult bikes, internet access and WWP's 24/7 Property Manager Assistance Line-which means you can reach needed help even after hours or on weekends. . A Soft Landing is also equipped with two golf carts-a four-passenger and a six-passenger. Let A Soft Landing be your spot to land for for a terrific, sun-filled Bald Head vacation year after year!

IMPORTANT NOTE ON CLUBS: Both clubs are independent from WWP or any WWP properties. As such, all arrangements for temporary memberships must be handled by renters directly with the Clubs. Renters are strongly encouraged to make desired reservations with the club immediately upon booking, and also to become familiar with club policies, procedures, and schedules. WWP representatives will not be able to answer most club-related questions.

October 2020 Stay

Very nice property, had a golf cart issue but that was quickly handled. Love the views, location, and pretty much everything about the house! I’ve used WWP’s on occasion for many years, always great customer service.

The house is amazing and makes you feel comfortable and welcome. Renting through Wendy was a breeze and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Great location, needs some maintenance

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This home is located on a perfect spot on the island. Overall, it is well decorated and furnished. The home just needs some maintenance. Things are broken, paint is peeling, mold, etc. Nothing that will stop you from having a good vacation, but it sort of takes away from the overall experience.

Great View, Not So Great House

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great beach location but the house is clearly the victim of a lot of rentals, not a lot of care. Kitchen needs to be blown up and re-done. Layout has a lot of wasted space and illogical flow. Dirty, that is all I can say.

I spent ten days there and had 5 adult family members stay for the wedding weekend. Plenty of room for everyone. The bridal party came for hair and make up and got dressed there too with plenty of space for everyone! Loved the speakers in every room and on porch and deck too!

Disappointment at Thunder Road

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location of property is excellent and the property manager was responsive and helpful. The problem with this property is lack of investment by owners. The two golf carts had problems. On one, the motor was shot and the other had electrical problems that caused the lights to work only occasionally--a real problem at night. The property manager quickly gave us one of their carts, but that should not have been necessary. There is no comfortable outdoor furniture and the condition of what's there makes it unusable. Beautiful view, no where to sit. Dishwasher appears shot and took two runs to get things clean. We would never rent this house again.

Fabulous House, Bad Timing

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is just great and had some of the nicest furniture, linens and baby gear. Unfortuneately we happened to hit it at a week when several of the appliances gave out- dishwasher, dryer, golf cart, grill. We were compensated a bit and it was no one's fault, so I do understand. Some things happened while we were there, but some were pre-existing conditions and it would have been more professional to tell us upon check-in versus leaving us to find the dryer not working after washing our clothes and then not knowing what to do with them. Still a great house and a great time!
