"Just returned from a two night stay at The North West Castle Hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were a family group of 2 sisters and 2 brothers and all of us found the hotel great. Every member of staff were so helpful and friendly from the reception, the waiting staff at breakfast, the bar staff and the domestic staff they couldn't have treated us any better. A special shout out to Alan in the bar you are a star !! Breakfast was great. The rooms are spacious and have everything needed. The hotel itself is a beautiful old historic building. Lots of car parking and very handy to walk into town. I definitely would love to return here at some point and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone. Thank you all at the North West Castle Hotel !!"

"This is a room above a pub. It is the cleanest room I have ever stayed in. It is small but functional with a comfortable bed. The staff are excellent and extremely accommodating. Breakfast is free and so is the clean fresh air. Food is excellent and the place is pet friendly. Its about 35 mins to the ferry but worth the journey."

"Fabulous property - luxurious and well appointed, great hosts who were friendly and welcoming. The house is ideally situated in Wigtown so right by some lovely pubs, bookshops and nice areas for walking. We were a group of 6 adults and 4 young children (and a dog) and it perfectly suited our needs - plenty of space and ideal for a group get together. We can’t wait to return!"
