With summer temperatures of 74 degrees and light revitalizing winds, this majestic cabin is ideal for families and perfect for that romantic getaway all year round. The cabin features a dedicated slope entrance from the lower deck with plenty of gear storage. If mountain biking at Beech Mountain Resort is your goal then climb on your bike and from the lower deck and simply go! Extreme bikers can ride the chairlift to the top while lift operators load and unload your bike for beginner, intermediate, or advanced downhill fun. If trail riding is more you speed there are miles of trail riding and hiking on the Emerald Mountain Outback trail loops that can be accessed right from our cabin.

During summer season, The Land of Oz is just a short hike right to the entrance. Enjoy the Beech Mountain Resort SkyBar right up the slope from the cabin featuring panoramic views into Tennessee and Virginia. Enjoy live music on Saturdays while enjoying our very own Beech Mountain Brew and try out the Mile High Yoga Saturdays and Sunday mornings. No other cabin boasts the easy access this one features. Yes, it's that close and that easy!

The décor is truly mountain cabin with all the trimmings of warm colors, distressed floors, interior barn siding, and fireplace. This cabin is one of only a handful for rent slope side that is this nice and comfortable. It is one of even less that is mold and mildew free, featuring easy entry from the road, and private legal 2 car parking.

After a great day of exercise, you can enjoy lunch and dinner in the resort village Beech Tree, or in town at Brick Oven Pizza, White Wolf Lodge, or many others. Then come back have a refreshing hot bath in 1 of 2 tub/showers then watch your favorite team on any of the Roku televisions while relaxing in 1 of the 3 KING size "ChiroSlumber" mattresses. No money was spared on this level of comfort when it comes to sleeping. Absolutely the best mattresses on the mountain!!! One bedroom features a one-of-a-kind custom king size bunk bed! You'll not get this kind of refreshing sleep after a hard fun day anywhere on Beech!!

We're so sorry NO PETS allowed, NO SMOKING, no more than 6 occupants, and 2 car parking maximum allowed. No Exceptions for any of these policies.

Winter Booking Requirement:
**This property is a true winter mountain resort "Experience". It's important to BE PREPARED and remember during ski season the road to this mile high delight can be treacherous and 4 WHEEL DRIVE IS REQUIRED TO RENT THIS PROPERTY. We always recommend having emergency chains if road conditions necessitate as it's much more pleasant to have them than to need them. With an ideal location on the slope, snowmaking by the resort is highly probable even if inclement weather is not forecasted and this access road may still be snow covered.

PLEASE have the proper vehicle, tires, and emergency chains for this location as there are no services available to get you to or from the cabin if requirements and recommendations are not heeded.

NOTE: If you choose to ignore our vehicle requirement and your 2 wheel drive or all wheel drive vehicle is "stuck" at our property you will forfeit your deposit. PLEASE do not rent our home if you do not have an adequate 4WD vehicle with adequate snow tread tires for the winter ski season.

**This property is not suitable for ANY electric vehicles during winter.

Great Holiday Vacay

Perfect fall getaway

We have stayed three times and it is exactly the get away we are looking for. Peaceful and gorgeous views and great sleeping arrangement for a family of 6! Well stocked kitchen too.

Best cabin on Beech Mountain

This was our 3rd stay here and it never gets old. We even shed a tear each time leaving. The views speak for themselves but this trip we took advantage or the nearby walking trails you can access with a short drive or even walk. 10/10 cabin and even better host.

Great Place for skiers and non-skiers

My Family of 6 enjoyed our stay. My wife does not ski and she had just as much fun watching everyone ski down the mountain. The deck and chairs that are10 feet from the slopes make it nice to relax and watch all the excitement. The rest of my family skied in and out from the house which is a simple process from the lower deck. The views from the house overlooking the town and surrounding areas are fabulous. You can see for miles and miles. I would definitely recommend this house for anyone!

Ski in/Ski out perfection

We love coming up to Beech with our kids, and have found ski in/ski out options to be clutch. In our 5 years going on this trip, this property was the best. It is right on the slope, no walking across streets or streams to get to the slopes, you're there. We loved coming back to the cosy fireplace and warm, inviting living area. And the double king beds in the second bedroom were awesome and comfortably accommodated our family. Kevin was very friendly and helpful. He reached out to me and was very responsive if I reached out to him. We had a wonderful weekend there and hope to return.

Cute cozy place.

Cozy cabin with awesome views right ON Beech Mountain. Can’t say enough about the gorgeous sunrise. Parking was a little limited and ski loft road is challenging but we had a great time. The host was super nice and accommodating letting us check in a tad early.

Great Getaway

We just got back from our getaway and this property was amazing. Kevin called us a few hours prior to arrival with details and made arrival a breeze. My kids loved watching the ski and snowboard action while they ate their meals-as you are directly on the slope. The views were stunning and the cabin was quaint and clean. Was beyond our expectations!!!

July getaway

This is a very clean house in an awesome location. It is very close to everything on Beech Mountain. ***Special note to EV owners: The town is installing EV chargers across from Fred's which is a short walk from the house. You can "slow charge" at the house via an outside outlet also.

Best place to stay on Beech Mountain!

So happy with my choice of where to stay for our recent snowboarding trip. The slope side access was something I didn’t know I needed to have until now. The location and views could not have been any better. The porch/balcony area directly beside the slope made for entertainment while taking a break. 10/10 will definitely stay here again in the future for our boarding trips. The host was very helpful prior to arrival and quick to respond during our stay.

Great Ski Vacay

This house made our trip so much better! The ski-in/ski-out is truly a deal breaker. It is literally right on the slopes. We put our skis on at the door and went straight down the mountain - no extra walking. The view is amazing and we had a lot of fun watching the skiers go right by our window. The owners were great! Communication and check-in/out was simple and easy. We will definitely book this house the next time we come to Beech Mountain. Thanks so much for opening your amazing home!

Mountain Wonder

My 2nd time at this property was as good as the first. A perfectly located house right on the edge of the slopes which is great for downhill biking. I love this house - perfect in location, size and amenities. The view includes waking up with a stunning mountain landscape, an unbelievable sunset and deer along the way. I love the tall adirondack chair additions on the deck too! A peaceful slice of heaven but close to everything you need and lots of fun activities. Kevin and Sara are wonderful to work with and make everything super easy. The king size beds are very comfortable. You really have everything you need for a great getaway. My favorite place in Beech Mountain for sure! I will be back.

True ski in / ski out, 4WD required

These bungalows are almost at the top of the mountain, and if there is weather, 4WD is required. The host was next door and available with a mini snow plow and actually had to dig out a neighbor while we were there. The house is really cool and well stocked for and family, including a crock pot, coffee, all the seasonings and cooking oils, and board games! King size bunk beds with memory foam mattresses were a big plus, although heat comes on loudly, so light sleepers beware. And this house is truly not for toddlers, as stated in the description. Spiral stair guard rail spindles are wide enough for a toddler to easily fit through.

Amazing views and well pointed cabin!

From the start this was an excellent experience! The booking and confirmation was easy and quick. The communications from VRBO and the owner were just right. We had everything we needed before we started our trip. The directions were clear and concise. The views were INCREDIBLE! The weather perfect with low of 45 and high of 65. The cabin had everything we needed. We ate out the first night but grilled out the second night. I had forgotten the olive oil and vinegar for the marinade but found both (in date) in the spice cabinet - what a nice surprise! You are practically on top of the mountain and it's awesome. We walked up the grassy slope to the SkyBar. It wasn't open but still a cool place to check out. We did one of the many Beech Mountain hikes and saw so many deer along the way. I highly recommend booking 'Scrapwood' for a cozy cabin with incredible views! You won't be sorry...and probably won't want to leave!
