Description: Grandfather's Gem Getaway offers a cozy and welcoming retreat in the scenic heart of the High Country, located between Boone and Banner Elk. This home is nestled in the serene Mill Ridge area, surrounded by rhododendrons, yet within easy walking distance of the outdoor pool. You can enjoy morning coffee on the deck, relax by the outdoor table in the lush rhododendron, or experience the warmth of the wood stove in winter. The home also benefits from cool mountain breezes in the summer.

The property is ideally situated near the Watauga River, with easy access to nature activities like fishing and hiking. The peaceful community includes amenities like ponds, a kids’ play area, tennis courts, and paved roads perfect for biking. A nearby trailhead offers access to an old ski slope area where you might spot deer and turkey.

Inside, the cabin features oak hardwood floors and rustic touches, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The living room, with its large flat-screen TV, is visible from both the dining area and the kitchen. The first bedroom, located off the kitchen, has a queen-size log bed and another flat-screen TV. Grandfather's Gem Getaway is located just 10 minutes from Boone or Banner Elk, making it an ideal home base for exploring Valle Crucis, Blowing Rock, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The property is pet-friendly (with an additional fee, dogs only) and offers accommodations for up to 6 people.
