Tucked away in a quiet mountainside community, you'll enjoy the serenity of the forest while remaining just minutes from the area's most popular attractions.

Conveniently located only 5 minutes from Wildcat Lake, 8 minutes from downtown Banner Elk, 12 minutes from both Sugar Mountain Resort and Beech Mountain Resort, 20 minutes from Grandfather Mountain and Hawksnest, 30 minutes from Boone, and 40 minutes from Blowing Rock, this cabin serves as the ideal home base for every season. Whether you're skiing, hiking, shopping, dining, or simply unwinding, you'll be close to everything the High Country has to offer.

Step inside and discover a warm, inviting mountain retreat designed for comfort and relaxation. The peaceful setting makes it easy to disconnect from the hustle of everyday life and reconnect with what matters most.

    Important Information

The cabin is accessed by a private gravel mountain road that becomes moderately steep in several sections. Under normal conditions, many guests comfortably reach the cabin in a standard two-wheel-drive vehicle. However, we strongly recommend traveling in a four-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive vehicle, particularly during the fall and winter months.

As with all mountain destinations, winter weather can change quickly. If snow or icy conditions are forecast during your stay, we recommend bringing tire chains as an added precaution to ensure safe travel.

Whether you're planning an outdoor adventure, a ski vacation, or a quiet mountain getaway, this secluded Banner Elk cabin offers the perfect combination of privacy, comfort, and convenient access to the very best of the High Country.

    Additional Important Notes:
    - Firewood may be purchased for an additional $25/night plus tax. This includes two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a Fire starter.
    - All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided.
    - Check in is after 4pm and Checkout is by 10am
    - TVs at this home are streaming only SmartTVs
    - 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.
    - PET FRIENDLY! This home allows up to 1 mature, well-trained dog with an additional pet rent of $25.00 per night plus tax. Pets other than dogs are not permitted.
    - This home has external security cameras to ensure safety at the property. No cameras are pointing toward the inside of the home or toward any common gathering areas.

*Please note that the distances shown on VRBO's map feature are measured in a straight line rather than actual road travel distances and times. We cannot change their setting for this, and encourage all guests to independently verify distances to desired destinations.
