Welcome to Switchback Lodge, a spacious mountain retreat located just 0.7 miles from Sugar Mountain Ski Resort and about 9 minutes from downtown Banner Elk. Tucked along one of Sugar Mountain’s scenic switchbacks, this inviting lodge-style home offers the perfect setting for ski trips, family vacations, and relaxing mountain getaways.

With four bedrooms, three full bathrooms, and two half bathrooms, Switchback Lodge comfortably sleeps up to 10 guests and features multiple spaces to gather and unwind. The main level living room is warm and welcoming with a cozy gas fireplace, while the large kitchen and dining area provide plenty of space for preparing meals and spending time together. Just off the kitchen, a covered deck offers a great outdoor hangout space with a grill, heater, and fire pit, so it can be enjoyed even on cooler evenings or during light snow or rain. A second deck off the living room provides another peaceful spot to take in the mountain setting.

The main level also includes a queen bedroom with a private ensuite bathroom, featuring both a bathtub and a separate steam shower—perfect for relaxing after a day on the slopes. Upstairs in the loft, guests will find another queen bed and a twin futon, along with a nearby full bathroom.

The lower level offers even more space to relax and have fun, with a second cozy living area featuring another gas fireplace, plus a wet bar with a refrigerator and wine fridge. This level is perfect for game nights with a pool table and dart board, and it opens to a patio with a picnic table for enjoying time outdoors. Two additional queen bedrooms are located on this level and share a full bathroom with a shower.

Additional conveniences include central heating and air conditioning, baseboard heat on the main level, and a washer and dryer located just off the kitchen. Parking is available for up to four vehicles, with one space near the main entrance and additional parking along the driveway near the lower level entrance.
