The Collection Barcelona welcomes you to this 4-bedroom and 4-bathroom apartment, located at the heart of Barcelona's City Center, perfect for those traveling with children or business groups. The Eixample neighborhood is safe and family-friendly with plenty to do on your doorstep. The apartment is located next to Paseo de Gracia street, and 10 min away from Plaza Catalunya, the city centre of Barcelona.
The Space:
Welcome to this 150 m2 spacious and bright flat located next to the emblematic centre of Barcelona, Plaça Catalunya. This four-bedrooms apartment that’s spacious, bright and has a nice organization of the rooms can be divided into two units, enjoying from privacy on each of both apartments (please note those are rented together and there is no option to rent them separately).
We are managers of other apartments in the building, really convenient for big families or business trips. Please note all apartments are almost identical, on layout, equipment and characteristics, but there might be some small changes on decoration.
⚠️ VERY IMPORTANT Please note the apartment is located in a residential building, where neighbors live here all year around and it is our obligation to respect their rest. Walls are very thin and other residents of the building very sensitive to noises. Please make sure before confirming your reservation you can adhere to the simple House Rules that are detailed below. Failure to accept and follow those will result on a monetary sanction and eviction from the property with no refund for the remaining nights.
APARTMENT DISTRIBUTION:
The apartment has a capacity for up to 8 people distributed in 4 bedrooms:

SPECIAL FEATURES OF THE APARTMENT:

- After your reservation is confirmed, you will be requested to self-register via Chekin platform, where you will need to register all guests and pay the mandatory tourist taxes.

The Neighborhood:
The Eixample is a modernist district that stretches from Plaça de Catalunya and includes both residential and business areas. It is the neighbourhood where you can find Carrer de Valencia, in which the apartment is situated. It’s known for its grid system of straight streets, which was built in the 1860s to accommodate the city’s rising population. There are many restaurants and cafes in this region, which is full of modernist structures with stone and iron embellishments on their façade.
Getting Around:
The closest metro station is Passeig de Gracia (Lines 2, 3 & 4).
The quickest way to go to the airport would be taking the train towards "Aeroport" at Passeig de Gracia. There are trains every 20min and it costs around 5€.
Other Things to Note:
*** TOURIST TAX & REGISTRATION PROCESS ***
- Since 2012 the Catalan administration requires that every guest staying in a hotel room or renting an apartment in Catalunya contributes with a small city tax fee of 9.50€ per guest (over 17 years old) per night up to a maximum of 7 nights. This cost IS NOT included on your reservation.
- National and International police demand that each guest, prior to their visit to Barcelona, would send information of their IDs or passports. This is mandatory, as it is stated in Catalan Law, and all legal touristic establishments are required to do so.
- This apartment uses a self-checkin system via the Chekin platform that will allow you to register all guests on the reservation
and pay the mandatory tourist taxes before your arrival.

Check-out is at 11:00 am (non-agreed late check-outs will incur on a 100€ charge per hour late)
*** HOUSE RULES ***
1. Parties, drugs, loud noise or any kind of disturbance towards the neighbors are completely forbidden, with a penalty of 400€ and possible eviction
2. Please observe quiet time between 10pm - 9am.
3. Respect your neighbors and be respectful in common areas (hallways, entrance, elevator, stairs).
4. Loss of keys will have a 100€ charge per key lost.
5. Smoking on interior areas will have a charge of 100€ + all cleaning fees involved.
6. Guests take full responsibility for any accidents, injuries or illnesses that occur while on the premises or its facilities.
7. Please leave the apartment in a respectable condition.
Not following those rules will incur on a monetary sanction and the full responsibility of any fines from the local administration or authorities.

We were 6 of us , the beauty of this apartment is that there is 4 bedrooms and each one with a nice bathroom and toilet
It has also 2 kitchens , very rare in Barcelona
And of course very central, so many shoppes , restaurants, at your steps

The apartment is very nice and in a great location. Perfect for a larger family. Air conditioning would be nice but there are lots of windows and fans provided to help keep cool.
Our host was very accommodating and responded promptly to any questions we had regarding the property. They even gave us helpful recommendations about restaurants, etc. It was great to stay in such a spacious apartment that was walkable to restaurants, bars, and the wonderful activities Barcelona had to offer. My family enjoyed every minute of our stay in this beautiful city and felt fortunate to have a place that had a patio where we could come 'home' to talk about our first-time adventures in the city of Barcelona.
Had a wonderful stay as 7 ladies in this apartment celebrating a hen. Te apartment is spacious, large with comfortable bedding and towels.

- wonderful area you don’t have to leave if you didn’t want to, easy to hail taxi and get snacks and ice
- communal lift to transport luggage
Disadvantages
- the walls are paper thin, even when you are trying to be quiet you will receive noise complaints. One person was watching her iPad whilst straightening her hair and a random man came with a noise reader? Saying our tv was too loud.
- there’s no A/C, there are enough fans for each room but it is boiling! The property has a lot of glass and gets warm quickly, when I contacted the host for more fans, there was no reply.
- opening the windows and doors contributes to the noise complaint
- could provide more toilet roll, I believe one roll per head is provided for 4 days
I still rate 5/5 overall and look forward to returning to this property.

It’s a great experience because you were in a great location for walking distance to cafés and restaurants. Like any other city it’s a little noisy but worth it for the convenience of everything. Communication was great overall would stay here again.

This apartment is in terrible shape. The pictures depicted on the web site versus the actual place are completely misleading. Walls are stained and dirty, furniture is damaged and overused. There’s no air conditioning, which is necessary in Barcelona in the middle of summer. This apartment looks like a frat house
I wish I could give this apartment negative stars. Every single wall was filthy with grime. You felt as though you would hate to brush against any one of the walls. The kitchen clearly had signs of water damage in the ceiling and along the the hood vent with black mold around the vent. There were unfinished repair in one of the bathrooms and another bathroom smelled like sewage. The apartment had obviously been "cleaned" but the apartment itself is in such disrepair and filth that a housekeeper can only do so much. I booked a hotel for my family and left soon after arriving in the aparment. VRBO was not helpful in getting me a refund. The owner's response was simply sorry no refunds.
Be aware that the property is listed under unit with an air conditioner. We were appalled by the condition of the place starting with no air conditioning and the temperatures in Barcelona in the summer was plus 35 and resulting in very hot conditions that did not allow for anyone to sleep at night. We all sweated through the night with no relief. The plumbing in bathrooms were plugged and not working properly. Toilet in master bedroom washroom was unusable. We were unable to enter the building and were locked out for a day because the entry system failed and no action was taken after we called the property management to resolve the problem. Stay away, we met other tenants with the same complaints
The location great, the apartment, abandoned , broken chairs without a leg, nothing works, no maintenance, the walls with lots of stains of greasy hands, what seems like mucus! the sheets had hairs on them.
The a/c does not work, the toaster does not work, we had two apartments, one washing machine did not work, the other made loud noise. the showers floors disgusting, we shower with sandals. No place in the shower to put a soap, shampoo etc.
The towel heaters not working.
The outlets broken, dangerous. I complained several times by whatsapp because there is no way to talk to a human. We paid for 6 night, the fourth day they send somebody from maintenance service, he cut the plugs from appliances that were broken(dangerous), change a blinking light from the bathroom, one of the kitchen cabinets did not had a handle, he brought one. He told me that the maintenance was poor because the company did not wanted to lose money while they do the necessary repairs.
Send a cleaning lady one day, but basically what is needed is to paint/wash walls, doors, showers.
We have lots of pictures with evidence.
With loving care, and maintenance time it will be great.
Eine schöne und große Wohnung. Schön war, dass jedes Zimmer ein eigenes Bad hat. Im Bad selbst und in den Zimmern war es leider ziemlich beengt. Wenn man mit 8 Personen reist, reichen die Stühle am Esstisch leider nicht. Im Wohnzimmer und der Küche aber sonst viel Platz, ebenso auf der schönen Terrasse. Alles in allem aber eine schöne und saubere Wohnung in guter Lage, empfehlenswert!!!
