"Arrived just after 4.00pm and surprised to find Reception locking up (although promotional material indicated Reception open till 8pm). Got there in the nick of time!) they said they had sent a message to say key was under the mat at my assigned room - but I couldn’t access the message …I hate to think if I had arrived a minute later where I would have been left! "

"Awesome location-quite, peaceful, clean and jetted tub was a nice treat. We even had a koala in the tree next to our villa. The scent of the eucalyptus forest was intoxicating! Only negative was no TV and no WiFi."

"Everything about our stay at Kokoro was absolutely wonderful and so much fun. Cosy and cute tiny house. Beautiful setting in the Otways with a lovely forest walk on the property. "This was by far the worst stay I have had in my life. Upon arrival we found our room was not cleaned properly for a while, surfaces were either dusty or dirty with stains. The toilet was clearly not cleaned as we could tell from the leftovers in it. The whole room smelt moldy. Hair were on the bed and in the drawers. Corners were full of dead flies and dust. When entering the room we wanted to leave instantly. As we arrived quite late at night and the location is a bit remote we did not have much choice but to stay for that night. Because of the dirt we did not open our suitcases and also did not want to pot any of our belongings anywhere in the room. We contacted the host to let him know that the room condition was not acceptable. He replied without hi or hello or sorry that "Of course. The cottage has not been used for a while, so it may have been a bit of a build-up of dust." This reply and the further communication felt like a very bad joke. The host did not pick-up our calls and was uncooperative in resolving the situation. Altough he was at home in the building next to the cottage, were we saw him sitting at his desk, he did not open the door when we tried to contact him personally and went into hiding in another corner of the house. So we decided to leave and not stay for the second booked and paid night. When taking our things out of the room we saw rough the wiindows that he was watching us on the surveillance cameras of the property. A refund was refused. "

"Lovely cabin away from it all with with a winery/brewery/distillery in the backyard. A perfect place to wind down and relax. Having windows from floor to ceiling let nature close while enjoying air conditioned environment. Never met the hosts but email communication with them was quick and responsive."
