"We had a wonderful stay in Montignac-Charente. The apartment is a short walk to the town center and we enjoyed stopping in at the patisserie and the cafe. A full grocery store is a short drive away. Our dogs also loved long walks along the country roads beside fields filled with sunflowers. Our host met us when we arrived, kindly showed us how everything worked, and even gifted us some apple preserves that tasted fabulous on our morning croissants. "L'endroit est calme, le logement était parfaitement propre et la propriété est dans son ensemble bien entretenue. Nous avons trouve une belle piscine commune, un grand jardin autour de la piscine, des équipements à disposition (barbecue, jeux pour enfants), un havre de paix pour satisfaire notre souhait de repos. Les enfants avaient une très belle chambre, les parents aussi. L'ensemble est fonctionnel et confortable. Il y a quelques défauts mineurs mais le rapport qualité prix est vraiment très bon. Durant cet été 2026, le confortable salon s'est révélé bien frais malgré le contexte caniculaire "exceptionnel".Le propriétaire de l'ensemble des gîtes est attentif et réactif, nous recommandons.Des commerces à 10mn en voiture, une belle campagne environnante, les étoiles la nuit..."

"Very happy with our stay (family of 5 adults). Lots of room in the house. We stayed during the heatwave but the house remained cool (although the rooms upstairs/under the roof were a bit hot but a lot less than expected). We rent a house every year but these were the best beds we have ever slept in - and showers were very good too. Overall the house is in a very quiet location but in a little hamlet with a couple of neighbours so it doesn't feel completely secluded. There were a couple of minor issues but quickly sorted by the responsive landlord."
