"Unexpectedly perfect. We were in Padua for one night and our main goal was to see the Scrovegni chapel. When we arrived at the hotel, we were so excited to see that they had a full cafe and bar attached with outside seating. The staff was so welcoming and helpful, placing our bags in storage lockers for us while we enjoyed cicchetti and shaken espressos with a view of the massive and stunning Basilica of Saint Anthony of Padua.
We were able to easily walk to everything and enjoyed every moment in the town.
The cafe staff were so helpful when one of our friends ran into some issues with checkin and made us their local spritz while we worked through it.
We got take away pizza from across the street and enjoyed our view of the town from our extremely comfortable bed.
Hope to visit again and stay at this wonderful property!"
"Staying at Mantua Benavides was the best decision we made in Padova. The place was gorgeous. The room was enormous. Comfortable bed. A large interesting garden and an important sculpture on the grounds. I felt like renaissance nobility. The staff was super-helpful with restaurants, taxis, and general questions. Everything in Padova is exactly a 14-min walk from Palazzo Mantua Benavides. I would stay here again anytime. A lovely 4 days!"
"This hotel has a perfect central location, has friendly and helpful staff, and it served the best breakfast buffet of our trip!
Our room was spacious and clean, we were a block off the main pedestrian street and in the heart of the historic area. The room was stocked with all of the amenities, something I rarely see nowadays.
Two dings, one of which is beyond the hotel’s scope. First, the room could use a little refreshing; some of the furniture, like the sofa, has seen better days, and, after half an hour, we couldn’t coax hot water out of the tea pot.
Second, there is a rather noisy little bar across the street that overflows onto the sidewalk later in the evening. Fortunately, when we shut the wooden shutters, most of the noise disappeared.
I would definitely return here!"
