"The property overall was very clean and mostly accurate to the listing. There were some conflicting instructions on a few things between what was listed in the listing, what was included in the binder on the property, and what was sent in communications to us. I would have liked to see more detailed instructions for things like how to use the fireplace. The biggest issue we had was with the internet. My husband and I always try to find a place to stay that has internet access, as we have many connected devices that we like to utilize. Additionally, when no cable is provided and it's expected we utilize our own streaming services, internet is pretty important for that, otherwise the TV is useless. We had storms roll through the area about halfway through our stay, which ended up completely frying the internet. I completely understand that this was a freak accident and under no ones control. However, what is within control is how the incident is responded to. I reached out to the host as soon as it happened, which was around 5 pm, so I didn't expect a resolution that night. I did, however, expect either a resolution during our stay (which I know may not have been possible) or at least ANY sort of communication about the issue. There was no 'thank you' for communicating to problem (which also included a potential electrical issue within the house) or apology that the problem occurred or that it wasn't taken care of. "

"Enjoyed our end of August stay in this well kept, spacious property. Appreciated the flexibility to bring our Labrador along. We hiked on a number of the nearby developed trails, and enjoyed dinners at several restaurants with 30 minutes or so. (caution - note that numerous restaurants are closed Mondays and/or Tuesdays, and reservations are important)"

"Property was great. Layout was excellent, perfect for a multi family stay. 3 masters upstairs bunk rooms in the basement, plenty of space for everyone! The boathouse was our favorite place to hang out. The paddle boards were awesome to take out to the swim platform. Fishing was excellent right off the pier. List of great things goes on. The only issue was cleanliness. Brian was responsive and apologetic, however we had a week with gnats in the kitchen, and found wrappers and other garbage through the house during the week. I could tell he was having issues with the cleaning service and I feel for him on that. I hope he gets that figured out. It would have been a 5 star stay if not for the cleaning."

"This was the perfect getaway for our family. We had direct access to the water (including dock, so our family could cruise by and grab us for a day on the lake!) The owners were very warm and welcoming, communicating with us before and during our time spent there to make sure everything was to our liking. I spent many days in the area during my childhood, and it was nice to see this former motel turned into such a cute upgraded property! Would stay again."
