Great rental

Great location to visit our daughter at LSU. Quiet neighborhood, great pool , host was responsive, beds were comfortable. No complaints !

We had a great stay. The owners were amazing to work with. We had a few issues and they were there within a few min. and problem fixed. The owners were very kind. The place was just the right size.

Not worth the price. Outdated

The entire place was very outdated. Beds are very old and not comfortable. Also, old outdated food from august last year still in the fridge. Also We actually left a day early.

Great Location, OK place

This apartment is in a great location for what we needed but the place needs major repairs. The only shower doesn't drain, there are cracks in the walls and ceiling, the fridge doesn't get very cold and several other little repairs are needed. The check out process requests that you run the dishwasher but there isn't any dishwasher fluid to be found. If you need a bed and AC in a great location, go for it, but if you like more creature comforts keep looking.

It fufilled its purpose

This property wasn't terrible, but the pictures showed in the listing, all the furniture was different in the actual property. There were cobwebs everywhere in the house like it had been vacant for quite some time. The location was a nice spot. I wish there would have been like a little info about where the pool was in the community, local places to eat or grocery stores. Just didn't feel as welcoming as some other vrbo's we stayed at. Communication was just from the texts from evolve with check in information. We only heard from the people when we had to text them to tell them something. Again, the house wasn't terrible, the beds were comfy, the house was kept at a nice temperature, the kitchen was stocked with all kinds of pots, pans, appliances, cups,etc if you needed to cook. But the pictures we viewed of the place when we booked varied from what is in there now. So if you don't need anything fancy, this is the place. The parking was covered to keep vehicles from getting hot, the backyard was messy though, not inviting enough to sit outside or grill out there. Needs some cleaning so it doesn't look like it sat, but not horrible.

Lots of Surprises—Some Good, Mostly Bad

We walked into the house to a smoky stench. I called the owner immediately to let them know it wasn’t us that was smelling up their house. They said it was the renter before us. That became a bit harder to believe when we saw the humidor in one of the bedrooms, complete with cigars. But whatever. We aired it out, and most of the smell went away. So maybe it WAS the renter before us. Anyway, the bath bombs were a nice touch! So were the eggs in the fridge—a nice touch for Easter weekend. What was less nice—pretty scary, in fact—was the tray of ammo we found in a living room drawer, easily within reach of our two-year-old daughter. There were also sharp screw tips sticking out of the gate to the front entrance, also within reach of our daughters. Another strange surprise: None of the furniture is the same as shown in the pictures on the VRBO listing! We try to work things out with owners instead of posting bad reviews, in general, but these issues were not all easily fixable, and some of them were inappropriate and dangerous problems. We can’t recommend this house until they make some changes in the way they prepare for guests.

Not a 10/10 but not a 4/10 either - just OK

Pros: bigger than a hotel suite, neighborhood is perfect for taking walks (not busy), beds are comfy, rooms are decent size, plenty of hot water, has a washer/dryer, patio area is a great place to relax, nicely decorated, lots of kitchen gadgets, sink/counters in bedrooms is nice, carport is great - LOVED the security light, owners are responsive to messages/calls, it's super cute and has a lot of potential. Not so awesome: the highway is almost right out the front door so there is a lot of road noise - all night long; kitchen wasn't the cleanest - expired food in the cabinets, someone left potatoes in one - they've been there so long they are growing shoots; lots of personal items in the home - clothes, shoes, ammo, cigars, jewelry (it's weird to stay somewhere with so many pieces of personal stuff, maybe that's just me); rear entry door doesn't seal properly unless the deadbolt is engaged; burned out lights in one bathroom; didn't smell the greatest (likely because it'd been closed up) and the kitchen wasn't super clean (food drips on the front of cabinets/drawers) - no worries, I clean before we get settled anyway; only one tv - listing said two, I believe; furniture is not what is shown (no big deal, just saying); pool is down the block, which is fine, but we didn't use it - it was not really clean, lots of bug scum and other nasties (filter system doesn't seem to work correctly). It was ok. Not horrible. Not great. Just OK. Some little fixes and it'd be great.

a lot of broken or missing things. Towel bar missing, missing and mismatched bathroom light bulbs, grill extremely dirty, walls and ceiling cracked or broke, limited kitchen supplies, place in need of a major remodel.

We stayed here while my dad had surgery at Our Lady of the Lake. It was SUPER convenient for what we needed. Very close to the hospital and interstate. Great location. Very clean and comfortable. Owner was very kind and accommodating. We appreciate you sharing your place with us!

Great spot for visiting LSU

We came to Baton Rouge from Boston to visit our son who’s a freshman at LSU. As we were traveling with out 17 year old daughter, I wanted more space than a hotel room and we found it with this rental!! Enough room for us to enjoy our time together. The unit was very clean and stocked with everything we needed. The location was great-10 or so minutes to LSU and very close to restaurants and shopping. We’ll definitely be booking again for a future visit!!

Nice place for home base in Baton Rouge

We enjoyed our stay here, the property is a little older but perfectly usable. We had a toddler and infant, the tub came in handy, and the pool was great, we used it every day, and had it all to ourselves. There is a grassy area behind the unit for little walks. It could have been cleaned a little more thoroughly, our baby found the dust bunnies under the beds, coffee table and chairs.

The best time!

Such an amazing experience. The place was beautiful and the owner was such a blessing! He made me feel at home. This was my first time traveling just with my kids. We had a 16 hour drive and I was nervous the whole time especially being by myself alone with just two kids, but the place is safe and I never for one minute felt unsure! Sadly We ended up coming two days late and I was supper bummed about leaving so early so when I called Marc and asked to pay for an extra night he offered me two nights on him! And now that I think of it MARC actually called a day before we were supposed to check in and asked if we wanted to come early and stay and extra night for free. Southern hospitality is absolutely amazing and Definitely REAL! The town and people were great (the driving a bit wild, but nothing I couldn’t handle) Marc even gave us some places to eat which were all delicious! We loved the Goodwood and grill, I had to get a po’boy sandwich, they had it!! The place it self is truly safe and calming and charming I just loved it! I will 100 percent be back, july2021! 😉 But thanks again Marc for everything and I told you this before but Ill say it again THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! you truly made the trip one for the books! Such a blessing! God bless

Not what I thought

The condo is not nearly as attractive as portrayed, it is not within walking distance of anything, and it smells horrible. Really bad.

Visiting family in Baton Rouge

Overall, everything was fine. Townhouse was clean and beds were very comfortable. Owner went out and bought new tv as old one didn’t work according to him. I have some suggestions however. Replace burned out bulbs, buy new towels (one I picked up was all ripped), electrical needs attention, we blew fuse two times in kitchen using toaster, secure dishwasher so it doesn’t fall out when you open it and get a new kitchen table or repair the old one. Sometimes it’s the little things that add a homey touch. The pictures on the website were a bit nicer than actual town home. Not everyone is as picky as I am and I don’t want to give a bad review. I’m just being honest about details. We had a nice time.

Convenient & Comfy

Plenty of space, convenient to EVERYTHING! Communication from manager was EXCELLENT! Definitely recommend to family & friends!!!

Great Location

The location has easy access to both I-10 and I-12. The property owner reached out to us before I stay and offered any help needed throughout our stay. The home was very clean and well-stocked. We have been travelling for business a lot over the last several months, and the beds were the best we've had in months!

Wonderful experience

The property was clean and centrally located. The owner was very accommodating and super sweet. He baked us a pecan pie and left fresh oranges from the tree outside.

Great place to stay in Baton Rouge close to all the good Restaurants and LSU.

Marc’s place was awesome exceptionally clean. He had a complimentary bottle of wine and some great Cajun food great Host we will stay here again when we come back to Baton Rouge.
