"I chose this hotel because of the reviews describing it as family-friendly, and I brought my three kids with me. We upgraded to one of the newer Solana Tower rooms, which was nice overall—but the windows were incredibly dirty, to the point where you could barely see outside. We did see some families with children around the property, so it seems like others do choose this hotel for that purpose. However, navigating the hotel was challenging—it felt like a maze just trying to get to the main area (“The Quarter”) where most of the shops and restaurants are located. There is an arcade that my kids enjoyed, which was a plus. Carmine’s is also inside the hotel, though we didn’t end up dining there. That said, there really aren’t many entertainment or dining options beyond gambling. The experience became especially concerning on our last morning. A visibly intoxicated man was wandering the hallways, going up to guest room doors—including ours—yelling and cursing. This made both me and my children feel unsafe. We had planned to leave our bags in the car and return to relax in the room until our late checkout, but after that incident, we no longer felt comfortable staying and decided to leave the property early. Overall, I would say this hotel may be fine for adults who are primarily there to gamble. However, I would not recommend it for families, as the environment and safety concerns did not meet our expectations. I would not return."

"Paid over $400 for one night stay where the bathroom clogged immediately after first use. There was no maintenance or staff that helped to fix the issue. They did not offer another room or any compensation for the inconvenience. Will absolutely avoid this hotel Absecon-Atlantic City Holiday Inn at all cost. "

"Absolutely awful and unsafe experience. I booked this hotel for a cheer competition and arrived after a 6-hour drive with my three young children and our dog. From the moment we entered the lobby, the atmosphere felt off. There was a woman sitting there who appeared homeless, which immediately raised concerns. While checking in, my 7-year-old needed to use the restroom, and staff repeatedly insisted she go alone, which was completely unacceptable. We got our keys and headed to the room, but the conditions were shocking. The hallways had visible damage, including holes in the ceiling, and the smell was overwhelming—a strong urine odor throughout. It was disgusting. When I opened the room door, it was clearly filthy and falling apart, so we didn’t even step inside. To make matters worse, another individual who did not appear to be a guest was riding a bicycle through the hallway near our room. The entire environment felt unsafe, unsanitary, and honestly gave off the kind of unsettling feeling you’d expect from something you’d see in a trafficking documentary. I immediately requested a refund. The manager first offered a “nicer side,” then denied the refund and claimed I was lying. Thankfully, I had photos and Expedia issued the refund. If you value your safety, your children’s safety, and basic cleanliness—do NOT stay here."

"The rooms are beautiful, clean, and spacious! We got married nearby on Saturday and stayed there for 3 nights; we had 5 rooms total for our wedding party. We asked that all the rooms be close and on the same floor and they accommodated our request. Thank you, Andrew!!!"

"Run-down, but well-maintained and the price was right. The rooms are no-smoking but folks were definitely smoking in our room at some point - maybe back in the day."
