"Stay away from the “budget” rooms. You wont find any pictures of them, and for good reason. They are disgusting and depressing. Imagine a particularly horrible prison cell reserved for the worst kind of prisoner, and you wont be far off. Austere, dark and cramped. From the outside they look like the toilet block, and from the inside you'd wish you were staying in one instead. We had to leave immediately upon entering and couldn't get a refund. But it was worth paying to NOT stay there."

"This is our third stay at the Surf Beach Motel & as always the rooms were clean, comfortable & well equipped with everything needed for an overnight stay. The only comment I have is, for the forst time we were on the upper level & the stair case had no proper handrail. With my elderly brother who is not well & myself with bad balance this was a bit uncomfortable to navigate."

"Clean room, staff friendly and efficient, restaurant staff need a bit more training on pouring correct drinks and serving training, food not as good as it used to be."

"As soon as we walked in, the view from the large picture window was amazing, with extensive views of the lake.The outdoor setting was practically on the water's edge, and a lovely spot for relaxing.A 60 second walk took us to a pontoon where the fish were biting.The only sound we heard at night was the sound of the water lapping.A lovely place to unwind."

"When we first arrived in our room, we couldn't even open the sliding door to see the pool area (glimpses of it) and the flyscreen was ripped. I went downstairs to Reception and let them know about the damaged doors. The lady was polite and put us into another room. However, the glass door was again in need of repair. We couldn't be bothered going back to reception. The spa was out of action as it was getting repaired. We were looking forward to using that amenity. Lastly, we couldn't get to sleep on the Saturday night due to all of the noise by a group of young adults screaming and carrying on. As we had to leave by 4am the next day for a long travel home, we really were struggling to find anything good with our stay. We had stayed there a few times before but this is the last time we are going back. "

"Clean room, but rusty shower rail and damaged blinds in bedroom, but overall good value for the money. Good pub with excellent food. Another oub where you would get a discount for being a menber but only staying for a couple of nights its not worth the hassle. Plenty of parking at the rear. "
