The place to stay in Bern

Spacious self contained apartment in a quiet area. On site parking. Extras provided to make your stay comfortable. Tram or bus nearby, 8 mins into centre of Bern. Supermarket nearby. Friendly and informative hostess. Enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic value. Comfortable. Spacious. Upscale. Nice amenities. Unbeatable location on Embassy Row, in a quiet neighborhood right next to the tram and a fine restaurant. Could use a more fully stocked kitchen for those who like to cook, but besides that, it was great. Communication and hospitality was also of the highest order. I wouldn’t hesitate to rebook!

A beautiful property in a beautiful area with a kind and responsive host. Nestled in the embassy area of Bern within walking distance of old town and just off a tram line that connects to anywhere. The apartment is well equipped and very clean and comfortable.

My taxi dropped me at this hotel and and I went to the front door. It was locked. There were buttons to ring someone but they all had names on them like an apartment building. I rang them anyway. No one responded. I went to another door; it was locked. I knocked; no one responded. I walked all around the building; nothing was open. Finally, I called the number for the reservation. No one answered! I was outside in the freezing cold, with 2 big suitcases, thinking I had been scammed. I had to walk to the nearest tram to go back to the train station. I booked the nearest hotel I could find. I emailed the contact on Expedia and explained what had happened. She said I could come the next day. I had already checked in at another hotel. Plus, what if she wasn’t there again! She was not at all sympathetic or understanding and charged me a “no show” fee! Unbelievable! She had the nerve to say “there is such a thing as leaving a message.” Really? While I am out in the freezing cold with all of my luggage? I am supposed to wait for her to call me back? She also told me that there are no scams in Switzerland. Well, I think this is the first one!

If in Bern the place to stay. Maxine is so helpful and friendly, we arrived early it was no problem let us park our car and gave us information maps and free bus tickets to explore Bern before checking in. The apartment was very clean with lots of extras, like chocolate, fruit, flowers, milk, and lots more international power adapter was also supplied Thank youMaxine for making our stay in Bern a great one if we come back we will definately stay there again and will recommend it to everyone

Quiet and cool

Quaint basement apartment which was beautifully cool on a hot summer day. Lots of extra touches like flowers and chocolates. Also had use of washer and dryer. Downside: it should be clearly stated on expedia that payment is required in cash.

Nous étions très contents de la communication pour l'arrivée, notre hôte nous attendant. Nous pouvons parquer dans l'enceinte de la villa, ce qui est très pratique en ville de Berne. L'appart est proche du centre nous pouvons y aller à pied. Notre hôte était très sympathique, nous a donné des renseignements très utiles. L'appart est très grand, luxueux, lumineux, propre et superbement bien agencé. A recommander !

Hidden Gem!

From the moment you arrive it's clear that you're in a special place. Maxine and Eddie are awesome, and make you feel at home right away. Plenty of space, kitchen, laundry, 15 minute walk to anywhere. If we are ever in Bern again we will definitely be staying here again.

Great place to stay one night or one month

We were there for only one night, however, our apartment had four rooms and a total of six beds. Leaving room kitchen dinning room and a small terrazzo. Amazingly clean place and very friendly people. Close distance from the old city and easy access to public transportation. A bid difficult to find the first time but after that it was easy. Because there is a kitchen you can buy groceries at a supermarket located at three blocks and have breakfast and/or dinner there too. Great place
