About this property
2 Bed in Alnwick (oc-90061)
This single-storey luxury holiday home for four guests is set in the countryside within the farm steading of Grade II-listed Hetton Hall. The area offers wonderful opportunities to explore the Northumberland National Park with its Dark Skies status, numerous walking and cycling routes. Just 10.5 miles away lies Bamburgh with its impressive castle, expansive sandy beaches, excellent restaurants, and friendly pubs. The heritage coastline beckons with seaside villages including Seahouses, perfect for boat trips to the Farne Islands, while Beadnell and Craster offer great seafood, rock pooling, and watersports. Holy Island is accessible via causeway, and Berwick-on-Tweed is just 14 miles distant. Wooler, 7 miles away, provides shopping and dining options, along with golf, horse riding, and access to the spectacular Cheviot Hills.
The stone cottage features vaulted ceilings and exposed beams, combining traditional charm with modern luxury comfort. Stylish features and colourful artwork add a contemporary feel. The hallway offers space for outdoor clothing before you enter the bright, airy open-plan kitchen/diner with large windows offering views of both front and rear gardens. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need for catering, with a dining area ideal for family meals and a TV for entertainment. Double glazed doors open into the spacious lounge with comfortable seating arranged around a wood-burning stove for cosy evenings. Wall-to-wall windows and Velux ceiling windows flood the space with natural light, while French doors lead to the rear patio garden. Two bedrooms are set off the hallway – a luxurious king-size bedroom with views of the front garden and a twin bedroom overlooking the rear garden. A bright, contemporary family bathroom with shower over bath completes the accommodation.
The holiday home has two enclosed garden areas. To the front, there is a lawned area with stone steps and a handrail leading down to a patio. The rear features a patio garden enclosed by a low stone wall and garden gate, with views of the neighbouring countryside where horses and sheep often graze. Garden furniture provides a spot for morning coffee or dining under starry skies. Private off-road parking is provided for two cars.
